Self-employed? VoIP telephony can help you work more flexibly, while still giving your clients first-class service.

One big challenge for many self-employed people is how you handle work calls when you can’t be at your desk; whether that’s because you have to be out ‘on site’, or maybe you are trying to take a well-deserved holiday. However, those business calls just keep coming, no matter what you’re up to.

You could divert your office phone to your mobile; but if for example you’re abroad, your client would hear an international dialling tone. That doesn’t sound great, and you might not want them to know you’re away at all.

A ‘virtual receptionist’ service is a potential option to help with this; but this is simply a message taking service. Ultimately, you still have to deal with the call once they email you the information, but now your client is frustrated that they have spoken to somebody who can’t help them, introducing a delay, when they expected to get you.

Our free ‘softphone’ works in parallel with your desk phone to give you complete flexibility; so, wherever you are, you can take your extension with you! This means that you are still contactable via your office phone, and whilst nobody wants to take a work call when they’re on holiday, you can deal with it quickly and efficiently, so the customer is happy and you can get back to what you were doing.

Our softphone app works with Android, iOS and Windows and is free to download.
