A Year-Long Signage Project with The London Borough of Hounslow

The Big Picture
When The London Borough of Hounslow appointed us with their park's signage refresh project, we knew this was going to be something special. They needed over 250 signs across the borough - everything from welcoming entrance signs to wayfinding systems and interpretive signs - and we were ready to show what our team could do. The best part? We managed every aspect of the project in-house, taking initial concept through design to final installation.

What Did We Make?

Let's break down this project:

• Two bespoke series/lines of signage specifications, one produced from metals/aluminum, and one of fresh sawn green oak. Both of which consisted of the below:
• Welcoming entrance signs - inviting, informative and accessible to all visitors
• Bespoke wayfinding design and systems to help people navigate the LB Hounslow's’ green spaces
• Informative playground signs to clearly display rules and regulations
• Community notice boards keeping residents informed
• Clear, respectful cemetery signage
• And so much more...

How Did We Do It?

The Design Magic

• Initially designed a robust specification for both signage lines
• Produced a heads-up mapping system for each site that is clear and communicative
• Designs tailored to complement their surroundings
• Clear, legible text for easy readability
• Specified Long-life and weather-resistant materials
• Curated consistent design across all 250+ signs

Manufacturing Excellence
Here’s where our in-house production really came into its own:

• All signage was produced in our own workshop
• Thorough quality checks at every step of the process (we’re detail-oriented, to say the least!)
• Flexibility to make adjustments as needed to meet changing client requirements as the project developed
