Case Study − The Spinney Primary School − CB1 9PB

Children at a primary school in Cambridgeshire have a new reason to enjoy their playtime, thanks to a recently completed upgrade to the school’s outdoor space by Sovereign Play.

The project was successfully installed ahead of schedule, much to the delight of the children.

What Prompted the Project?
Sovereign Play was chosen for the project after the school’s Parent-Teacher Association evaluated several providers. “Sovereign demonstrated the best understanding of our needs and offered the best value with a high-quality, guaranteed product,” shared Daniela. “The design included a variety of equipment we could choose ourselves, providing a range of challenges suited to children of different ages. Sovereign’s Area Sales Manager, Justin Mottaz, has a great reputation with other local schools, which gave us additional confidence in our choice.”

The Process & Results
Sovereign worked closely with the school to plan and execute the upgrade. Justin, Area Sales Manager noted, “The Spinney’s previous trim trail and wetpour pads were worn and had become a safety concern. We decided to replace the trail and install new bonded rubber mulch over the existing wetpour to avoid the cost of removal. We also connected all trail elements for a seamless experience and created a path from the playground for easier access.”

The Spinney’s PTA appreciated the clarity of the design process, where each iteration clearly outlined what was included in the cost, making decision-making straightforward. With the new trail, The Spinney can now offer a safe, engaging, and durable play area that has been embraced by the children and staff alike.

Testimonial
Daniela Bagaglia, a PTA representative at The Spinney, expressed her satisfaction with the process: “It all went very smoothly. We never thought we’d be able to get it all installed before Christmas. We had a ‘grand opening,’ and the children have been enjoying it very much!”
