Glasdon Wins Green Apple Award For Recycled Product Innovation
Glasdon have earned a 2024 Green Apple Award in the category of Environmental Improvements.
The award was presented for Glasdon's Origin exterior Litter & Recycling Bins, in recognition of the company's continuing innovation with recycled products.
The Origin range provides an environmentally friendly waste management solution for outdoor areas and natural surroundings.
The award-winning range includes the Origin Curve and the Origin Horizon, which are constructed from materials such as Vandalex® and Enviropol®, ensuring durability and long-lasting service. The Origin products are made using 86% recycled material, and are entirely recyclable at the end of their service life.
The Green Apple Award is the latest mark of innovation for Glasdon, who employ a philosophy of Quality by Design for their products.
The Green Apple Awards are run by the The Green Organisation, an independent non-profit that campaigns for environmental best practice around the globe.
The aim of the awards is to recognise, reward, and promote environmental action from organisations, to ensure a greener and more sustainable future.
Each category sees entrants apply from across the globe, meaning competition is often fierce, and selection for an award is a distinguished honour.
Jim Hodgson, Group Director, commented on the company's latest achievement by stating: "We are honoured to be recognised for our ongoing commitment to sustainability and product innovation. At Glasdon, we are extremely proud to say that all our products are fully recyclable at the end of their service life*, allowing the materials used to be put back into the economy for re-processing and reuse."
We are continually evaluating and improving our processes to ensure we're using the most sustainable approach in our day-to-day business.
Jim Hodgson, Group Director at Glasdon Group Limited
Innovative product design is just one way that the company pursues these goals - Glasdon have also committed to reaching Net-Zero by 2035, as detailed in their annual sustainability report.
