Newbury Manor School Chooses Jacksons’ Strong V Mesh Fencing

Newbury Manor School, managed by Aspris Children’s Services, is an additional needs school in Somerset, providing day care for up to 65 children aged 6-19 and residential care for eight students.

Located in the scenic countryside near Bath, the Georgian manor house and its extensive grounds were refurbished to high standards.
Safety and security are critical for additional needs schools, where protecting students is a top priority. At one of the school’s entrances, the existing gate and fencing had deteriorated over time, no longer meeting modern security requirements. To address this, the school selected Jacksons Fencing's EuroGuard® Extra V mesh security fencing and gates, installed by one of their Approved Installers, 1st Aid 4 Fencing.

The EuroGuard® Extra system features 5mm thick wire mesh panels with a 200 x 30mm mesh pattern, offering significantly more strength and durability than standard V mesh systems, which typically use thinner 4mm wire and have larger apertures. This robust construction ensures the fencing is suitable for high-traffic school environments and can withstand accidental impacts, such as stray footballs or student interactions. Its anti-climb design, with small apertures, prevents hand or footholds, enhancing perimeter security.
