Advanced Fibre Connectivity Management System
With ever-increasing demands for bandwidth and speed, modern data networks rely on fibre optic cabling.
Scalability of connectivity is crucial to accommodate this growth. When it comes to flexible and scalable fibre management systems, HUBER+SUHNER leads the way with IANOS.
What is IANOS?
HUBER+SUHNER designed IANOS, named after the Roman God, to seamlessly harmonise the past and the future. This next-generation fibre optic management solution enables fast, flexible, and future-proofed fibre connectivity in Data Centres or Enterprise IT environments. Its modular design supports interchangeable modules for all fibre modes, fibre counts, and connectivity options. With easy access to modules, available in single or double-width sizes, users can benefit from improved fibre handling and cable management, all while minimising risk. IANOS offers a high-density solution that manages up to 72 LC-D or MTP ports per 1RU, maximising rack space optimisation.
Building Blocks for Next Generation Fibre Networks
To accommodate rising data speeds, future-proofing fibre networks is essential for scalability and meeting demand in today's data networks. The heart of the HUBER+SUHNER IANOS system features interchangeable modules that enable seamless migration from 10G to 400G+ data rates. Users can access modules for patching (both LC and MTP), transitioning from MTP to LC, MTP conversion, splicing, and pre-terminated solutions. These modules reside in pull-out drawers within a 1U or 4U chassis, providing access from the front or rear. Drawers are equipped with integrated cable management and labels for quick and clear identification of fibres.
This high-density solution maximises space in Data Centre server racks, allowing for better utilisation of areas dedicated to revenue-generating equipment. Additionally, it facilitates better management of mission-critical connectivity.
