LTE Scientific Secures NHS Supply Chain Decontamination Framework Placement with Expanded Offering Including Pathology Autoclaves

LTE Scientific is pleased to announce its successful placement on the NHS Supply Chain’s Decontamination Capital Equipment & Associated Accessories framework. This achievement ensures LTE’s continued role as a trusted supplier of high-quality decontamination solutions to the UK healthcare sector.

Effective from February 2025 for an initial 24 months, with the possibility of extension up to 48 months, the framework enables NHS organisations to procure essential decontamination equipment through NHS Supply Chain. For the first time, pathology autoclaves have been included in the framework, and LTE Scientific has secured a place in this category, further broadening its offering to the healthcare industry.

LTE Scientific achieved full approval for all product submissions, ensuring ongoing supply of its comprehensive range, including British-manufactured Porous Load Touchclave System Sterilizers and the newly introduced Touchclave-K series of pathology autoclaves. Additionally, the framework includes LTE Scope-Store endoscope drying and storage cabinets (available in shelved and vertical configurations), as well as Danish-manufactured KEN IQ Washer Disinfectors and IQ10 Trolley Washers.

The company’s collaboration with KEN Hygiene has expanded its portfolio, allowing LTE to meet a wider range of decontamination needs while upholding its reputation for quality and reliability. LTE’s equipment is already widely used within the NHS, including at Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool, where a CSSD super centre operates four 42Cu.ft. porous load sterilizers with automated loading and offloading systems. Similarly, Queens Hospital Burton CSSD utilises five KEN IQ6 Washer Disinfectors, recognised for their efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

John Lees, Managing Director of LTE Scientific, commented:
“We are delighted to have secured our place on the decontamination framework once again. This year is particularly significant as it marks the first inclusion of pathology autoclaves, further enhancing our ability to support the NHS. At LTE, we remain committed to our role as a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of sterilisation and decontamination equipment. Our expertise enables us to provide both innovative solutions and practical support to NHS facilities, whether directly or via NHS Supply Chain.”
