Bruel & Kjaer UK launch ready-to-use noise monitoring system

Sound and vibration expert Bruel & Kjaer UK has launched its MATRON 3 Ultra Light – a noise monitoring system designed to help local authorities with swifter set up during neighbourhood noise investigations.

This new entry-level model to Bruel & Kjaer UK’s successful neighbour noise monitoring family - MATRON 3 - takes less than one minute to set up. The user only has to open up the tripod, connect their microphone to the MATRON system, which is contained within a water-resistant rucksack, and plug the mains lead in. The MATRON 3 Ultra Light encompasses all the benefits associated with MATRON 3 including a Class 1 Type 2250 noise analyser for unmatched accuracy, results recorded to an industry standard Secure Digital (SD) or Compact Flash (CF) memory card, plus the ability to operate as a stand-alone, PC-less system.

Bruel & Kjaer UK supplies support to customers by telephone or through their user-orientated website which – unlike most sales orientated websites - contains readily available instructions and application notes. The company’s UK and Ireland wide team of engineers can also make onsite visits to its customers. Bruel & Kjaer UK has a full 2008 calendar of training courses (visit www.bksv.co.uk/?ID=3506) suitable for users of sound level meters, vibration and other noise and vibration equipment, whether they are beginners, in need of a refresher or looking for more advanced acoustic teaching.

Free, interactive courses called WebEx also run throughout the year. Current courses include: Basic 2250 hand held analyser training on 12th or 14th February and Advanced 2250/MATRON training on 19th or 21st February.

Sessions are added throughout the year, please visit: www.bksv.co.uk/?ID=3550 For more information on MATRON and Bruel and Kjaer UK’s other products, please visit the website: www.bksv.co.uk or contact 01438 739 000.
