Twinfix walkways shelter residents

Twinfix installed 17 canopies and walkways at sheltered accommodation near to their Birchwood offices, creating protected transit areas between the buildings on site.

Each glazed cover was a different shape and was fitted with ‘Safe’ opal polycarbonate roofing panels. The walkways also feature handrails and low level glazed panels that match the roofing and help provide weather shelter for residents in wheelchairs.

All Twinfix canopies and walkways use powder coated aluminium for the framework which won’t rust or require repainting − which means virtually no future maintenance. In addition, both the aluminium and the polycarbonate can be recycled at the end of their long life span!
