Measure, control and log data with MultiCon from Metrix

The MultiCon SX-CMC multi-channel meter / controller / recorders are now available from Metrix Electronics in a choice of compact 96mm or large screen 144mm panel mounting series.

Both series include advanced controller and recorder features for industrial control engineering applications. The wide range of input and output modules, together with a choice of interfaces, enables precise customisation for each application. Each SX-CMC unit also functions as a data recorder − with an internal memory that can, for example, record data from 24 channels every second for two months. The colour TFT touch screen display controls the simple configuration and operation menus.

The smaller CMC-99 series can have up to 48 inputs and 16 outputs. The modular design enables current, voltage, temperature, digital or ‘universal’ type inputs. The outputs can be relays, SSRs or current (4-20mA) types. The larger CMC-141 can have up to 50% more inputs / outputs. Inputs, or groups of inputs, can be displayed in numeric, bargraph or graphical format. Each input can be named, scaled and captioned by the user.

All versions have an RS-485 (Modbus RTU) serial port for standard communications, plus two USB ports. Enhanced communications with further serial, USB or Ethernet ports are options. The free DAQ Manager software allows visualisation, archiving and printing of recorded measurements.
