Bio Sculpture Gel founder, Elmien Scholtz is Awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Bio Sculpture Gel is proud to announce that owner and founder, Elmien Scholtz has been awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

This prestigious award encourages entrepreneurial activity among those with potential and recognises the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. The award is presented in over 140 cities in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Elmien began her career with the nail industry after completing a CIDESCO (Committee International de Esthetique et de cosmotolagé) course in cosmetic science at the Stellenbosch Academy in 1980 and registered the Bio Sculpture Gel brand in 1988 with the wish list for the perfect healthy nail system. Bio Sculpture Gel is the first in many instances, first to manufacture coloured gel and first one-step gel that can be soaked-off without damaging the natural nail. Bio Sculpture Gel was also the first to undergo independent clinical testing and received a 5 star safety rating. Maintaining a premium health and safety profile is core for Bio Sculpture Gel.

To date, Elmien has grown the brand globally and exports to 39 countries where the complete system is used. Elmien ensures the product quality and assurance with continued research and development, always striving to offer premium nail care. With over 150 colours already in the range, Elmien creates new colour collections each season to remain ahead of colour and fashion trends.

Over the past five years, more than 6,500 entrepreneurs joined the Entrepreneur of the Year alumni. A “who’s who” of both developed and emerging markets, these alumni includes many household names.
