Launch of Plasma Clean odour control system

Odours from food waste cause a real stink for many caterers. Thanks to a new partnership between Meiko UK and odour control specialist Plasma Clean, things are about to get a whole lot better with the introduction of Plasma Clean Xtract Ioniser technology.

Plasma Clean Xtract units are suitable for a range of environments such as refuse storage and public waiting areas, eliminating odours and airborne infection using ozone - a well-known disinfectant and odour neutraliser.

Simple to install, with low maintenance and running costs, this versatile modular solution provides affordable and reliable odour and infection control, making it the perfect partner for waste storage areas and other applications such as Meiko’s vacuum waste removal systems.

Xtract units are also offered as a highly effective and value for money odour control option on Meiko’s systems, which transport commercial food waste from inlets within the kitchen and preparation areas to a central food waste holding tank, storing it for several weeks before being emptied.

Food waste odours are emitted from the vacuum pump and from the tank itself and these have been traditionally controlled through expensive roof ventilation, which can be difficult to accommodate, especially in old buildings.

Now Meiko customers can benefit from immediate removal of bad odours from their food waste storage areas, simply and cost effectively.
