Meiko''s new M-IQ Warewashing systems

19 March 2012 | Meiko UK Ltd

One third less energy, chemical and water usage with Meiko’s new M-iQ warewashing systems

Meiko’s latest M-iQ conveyor and basket transport warewashing systems deliver huge energy and chemical savings compared to conventional warewashing systems.

The rack and flight transport dishwasher’s use 33% less water and detergent than their predecessors, while delivering a 30% improved cleaning performance thanks to the high-pressure wash system. Each machine is built to order.

ENERGY SAVING FIGURES
Running cost comparison at Hampton School: A Meiko K200VAP model has been replaced with the equivalent new generation M-IQ model, which is delivering a 30.2 % hourly running cost saving, £3.72 compared to £5.33.

BUILD QUALITY
Meiko was concerned to address one of the fundamental issues when it comes to making the doors and panels on dishwashers. Traditional methods involve folding and cutting the steel to make panels. But this leaves edges which are not smooth or easy to clean.
The solution for Meiko was to spend hundreds of thousands of euros on a robotic folding machine, similar to those used in the car industry. The result is that the doors on the M-iQ are entirely ‘folded’, creating a seamless, easy clean result, time after time. The curves created also remind some of classic cars. It is hard to say dishwashers are beautiful, but the M-iQ machines really are.
Heat recovery is incorporated as standard − there is no need to purchase separate heat recovery equipment any more, creating savings of between £5,000 and £8,000 on installation depending on the size of machine.

M-iQ M Filter
A radical rethink of filter design has resulted in a system whereby each tank features a multi-stage filtration process that first collects food soil, then flushes it out of the tank completely in high-pressure cycles.
Reducing the level of soil in the wash water improves performance, eases clean-up and reduces detergent consumption by up to 50%.

M-iQ Airconcept
A newly developed ‘air flow’ concept reduces waste air emissions. Depending on the configuration and site conditions, exhaust air volume reduction can be as high 90 per cent!
