Timber
We import our own slow-grown Scandinavian Redwood pine for all our softwood requirements. At our Edenbridge mill, we then machine the timber to produce our planed range of softwood and softwood mouldings. By selecting and machining the lumber products ourselves we can monitor the wood production, resulting in an end product with a low knot content for easier on-site preparation and time-saving. By only using Redwood the timber is denser and stable, ensuring crisp cuts for clean and accurate joints or crisp moulding profiles. Our joinery Redwood is also machined to a super smooth finish, ready to paint or stain.
![Planed Softwood](/storage/images/products/47671-planed-softwood.jpg)
Planed Softwood
We stock a range of planed softwood timbers, from the very best, our Premier Planed Softwood that we machine ourselves, to a lower grade, but decent quality softwood ideal for projects where the finish is not that critical.
When quality is not the most important consideration, our budget-priced timber is a great alternative to our Premier planed timber, and of course still subject to our high standards as you would expect from a timber merchant.
We also offer a free cross-cutting service so we can cut to length any timber you require, we can also plane the material to your exact size if required. Finally, if you cannot see what you need, we can machine to order your exact requirement, this takes up to 4 working days.
![Planed Oak](/storage/images/products/47694-planed-oak.jpg)
Planed Oak
What can Oak be used for?
American White Oak beams are strong enough to be used for boat building and impermeable for reliable liquid storage, but still beautiful enough for use in premium furniture and high-end interior design as well as use as a wood floor. With a low stiffness and high level of strength, it holds up extremely well over time, and can also be machined extremely easily.
All of our Oak Hardwood is kiln dried for stability and low moisture content as standard. This means that is widely used in interior joinery, furniture, cabinets, windows, doors and many other applications.

Plywood Sheets
This type of wood's thin sheets of veneer that are glued (plies) is usually set up perpendicularly to the adjacent layer (90 degrees) as part of a process called cross-lamination (also known as cross graining) that helps add extra strength to the material.

![Fencing Supplies](/storage/images/products/47678-fencing-supplies.jpg)
Fencing Supplies
Before choosing between the garden fencing options that are best suited to your needs, it’s vital to be clear about the reason you require fencing. Determining the purpose of your fence and your budget will help you decide which of the many forms of fencing will best meet your needs. The five most common reasons for installing fencing are:
Security − keeping people out and/or animals in
Privacy − providing a visual barrier between you and potential viewers
Screening − fencing can be a windbreak or a sound baffle
Budget − your dedicated budget can be the deciding factor for which material you choose
Aesthetics − many forms of fencing are attractive in their own right and add to the appearance of your property
![Fence Posts](/storage/images/products/47679-fence-posts.jpg)

![Timber Flooring](/storage/images/products/47680-timber-flooring.jpg)
Timber Flooring
At Champion Timber, we offer a vast range of floorboards and wooden flooring to suit all applications. These include:
Engineered Flooring - available in a number of different shades of Oak, board widths, board thicknesses, and fitting type.
Solid Wood Flooring - we have a number of different shades of Oak solid Wood Flooring, and also a Walnut version for those that prefer a darker look to their room.
Moisture Resistant Flooring - ideal for rooms that require a room that is subject to some moisture such as kitchens and bathrooms. Again available in a number of different shades to suit your taste.
Laminate Flooring - our laminate floors come in a wide variety of colours and styles that have all the characteristics of natural wood. From clean and contemporary whitewashed boards to rustic and rural-inspired designs, there's something to suit every preference and decor theme.
Bamboo Flooring - is one of the most sustainable materials you'll ever come across. When it's mature, it is cut for use and a new harvest replenishes in just five years. Although it's not strictly speaking a real wood; bamboo is a family of grass, it forms its own unique grain patterns and can be worked into extremely hard-wearing floorboards, with the natural look and qualities of hardwood.
We also have all the underlays, room divider thresholds, room edge scotias etc to finish off the project.
![Solid Pine Flooring](/storage/images/products/47681-solid-pine-flooring.jpg)
Solid Pine Flooring
At Champion Timber, all of our timber is responsibly sourced, even these planed redwood pine floorboards are acquired with sustainability and chain of custody in mind. Our solid wood flooring range is available with a square edge or tongue and groove profile and is also Kiln Dried for added stability.
Do Planed Pine Floorboards come pre-finished?
No, unlike engineered hardwood flooring, softwood does not come pre-finished. You’ll need to finish your own pine wood flooring using stain, varnish, or oil. For maximum protection and durability, give the floor 2 coats of stain or varnish and wait 24 hours for the wooden floors to dry. Then apply a final coat of stain, varnish, or oil, making it an extremely customisable floor option for your home.
Can you leave Planed Pine Floorboards unfinished?
We recommend that the Planed Pine Boards are not used as a finished floor due to the moisture content of the timber as it is typically around 12-15% and when the floorboard is installed in a centrally heated property the boards can dry out to around 6-8 % and this could result in some shrinkage resulting in small gaps between the boards.
![Timber Doors](/storage/images/products/47682-timber-doors.jpg)
Timber Doors
Timber Doors are the classic choice for your home. Timber is the oldest material used for doors, and there are many good reasons why timber is still used today. Timber is strong, secure, and environmentally friendly and with proper maintenance will last longer than uPVC, aluminium or composite doors.
How long do Timber Doors last?
Timber Doors are the most common for home interiors, and they come in two varieties: solid and hollow. Solid wood interior doors can last as long as the house they're in, but hollow ones are likely to need replacement in 30 to 40 years.
What Timber Doors does Champion Timber offer?
Whether you’re undertaking a full room renovation or just replacing your existing doors, we have a wide range of internal and external doors available in a number of different materials, styles and finishes, to help you find exactly what you need to transform your living space.
Offering a huge range of designs that range from traditional to contemporary, our range includes a selection of internal oak veneer doors. Choose pre-finished doors that are ready to be hung right away, or opt for untreated doors that can be painted or stained before being finished with varnish.
![Veneered Oak Doors](/storage/images/products/47683-veneered-oak-doors.jpg)
Veneered Oak Doors
Oak internal veneer doors are favourites with homeowners, housebuilders and contractors because they’re suited to all styles of houses and apartments, including character bungalows, contemporary new builds and extremely modern custom timber projects. Each style of internal oak door is manufactured from sustainable wood of extremely high quality. Solid oak internal doors are a traditional and often sought-after type of oak door, whilst there are also a number of other forms of the oak panel door that are typically engineered to be more durable than one slab of wood.
Some internal oak doors are pre-finished so before the doors are installed in any project they can be customised, painted, varnished or treated to achieve the desired effect. Other oak interior doors from Champion Timber are fully treated and ready to go for installation from the moment they arrive on site. Whether you’re opting for pre-finished or finished internal oak veneer doors, they give a sophisticated and elegant look.

Door handles on backplates are perfect for breathing new life into a room. You’d be surprised how much internal door furniture - such as lever door handles - can transform a tired and outdated space. For those looking to update their homes without tearing through their budget, door handles on backplates are a brilliant, quick and painless place to start - especially as you can install interior door furniture yourself.
Lever Handles on Rose
Lever handles on the rose comprise the door lever and the round ‘rose’, upon which the handle is mounted and turns. Lever handles are attached to the door latch mechanism, and when the lever is pushed down, the latch is operated, allowing for the door to be opened or closed. A spring mechanism within the rose ensures that the handle returns to its original position when not in use. All lever fixings and screws are hidden behind the rose cover itself. Lever handles on rose are available in materials such as chrome, stainless steel and aluminium.
Mortice Knobs
A mortice doorknob is used with a latch or a lock mechanism, which is set within the door (as opposed to a rim knob). All of our mortice door knobs are sold as a pair complete with spindle and fittings.

About us
Our business is spread across the South-East region and boasts ten modern branches strategically located for convenience. Throughout our many years of operation, we have consistently provided exceptional timber products and services to cater to the needs of the trade.
Working with high-quality timber brings a sense of satisfaction and improves the overall outcome of a project. It is worth noting that opting for inexpensive timber often proves to be a misguided financial decision. Those who have experienced the challenges posed by knots, warped joists, or timber that easily splits can attest to this. In such cases, the initial cost savings are overshadowed by the difficulties and setbacks encountered during the work process.
At Champion, we follow a unique approach of directly sourcing our timber from Northern Scandinavia, taking charge of the entire process from machining to selling it to you. This allows us to maintain strict control over the quality and ensure a consistent supply. Our commitment to providing the best quality at competitive prices remains unwavering. In addition to our emphasis on quality timber, we offer an extensive range of products. Our inventory includes decking, landscaping timbers, fencing, sheet materials, insulation, flooring, doors, and stairparts, providing comprehensive options to meet your needs.
