Track Mounts for Hire

Reach heights from 14.00m − 31.00m

Renowned for their extreme capabilities, the tracked machine offers impressive outreach and working heights. They exert low surface load with all terrain capability, perfect for working on uneven ground and delicate floors.

The tracked chassis spreads the load of the machine across a larger area than with wheels, thus reducing ground bearing pressure.

This reduced surface pressure enables the machines to drive over delicate, suspended or raised floors as well as soft ground, particularly important with Architects and Facilities Managers, because modern architecture and floor designs dictate that typical floor loadings must not exceed 5kN/m2. Our specially selected machines are designed to exert loads below this.
Their ability to climb stairs, work on steep inclines, access narrow areas, work indoors and provide a stable work platform at height has secured their growing popularity.

Super Service

Our 7 Day Access service offers a flexible contract, which means you pay for the use of a MEWP for Saturday but get Sunday free of charge. The same standard contract back-up service applies over the weekend.

Fast Delivery

We deliver to your site on time, every time. Our Essential and Core range of machines are available for delivery 24 and 48 hours after placing an order during working hours. Look out for the 24hr and 48hr symbols in the brochure on machines that qualify.

Site Surveys

Our team of experienced personnel across the UK can advise on the most suitable machines for your job. We will perform a site visit to gain an understanding of the work to be carried out, check for obstructions at height and review ground conditions to ensure you have the best machine for the job.

We are a member of the Institute of Customer Service and have been accredited with the Institute’s ServiceMark and TrainingMark.

We can deliver to your site on time
Working a 7 day week? Our AFI ‘7 Day Access’ option offers the terms you need.
A standard contract covers Monday to Friday. Should you require the flexibility to work at the weekend, our ‘7 Day Access’ service offers a contract which means you pay for the use of a MEWP for Saturday but get Sunday free of charge.

Why you should protecting your hire

All our machines are hired under the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) terms and conditions, which state that the hirer is responsible for the loss or damage of the equipment hired.
Replacing damaged parts, or worse still replacing a stolen MEWP, can be expensive and in certain cases could cost over one hundred times more than the equivalent weekly hire rate. Our indemnity policies can cover many of these risks and help safeguard your company against a wide range of liabilities.

When hiring equipment from us, you are expected to return it in the condition in which it was received. With our Damage Waiver or All Risk options you are covered for a number of situations.

AFI Damage Waiver

Our Damage Waiver offers protection from accidental damage to our machines whilst in use by the hirer during agreed working hours within the UK. At only 10% of the hire cost, NO excess charges apply.

We have a range of secondary guarding options available for MEWPs in our hire fleet. From sensors, that when activated, stop all functions in use at the time, to systems that alert the operator to potential crushing, our secondary guarding systems are all manufactured with the operator's safety in mind.

Familiarisation & Emergency Lowering Videos

Our Familiarisation and Emergency Lowering videos are aimed at operators and other ground personnel, taking them through the Familiarisation procedures that need to take place before operating the MEWP, and the Emergency Lowering procedure should they need to use it.

IPAF states that “Those who intend to use any machine with characteristics of weight, height, width, length or complexity which differ significantly to the training they have received should ensure that they receive a familiarisation to cover the differences.” View IPAF Familiarisation guidance here.

MEWP Security (SmartZone & KeyZone)

SmartZone, a system developed by Infobric, controls and monitors the use of powered access and gives the hirer full visibility of equipment and people.

KeyZone prevents unauthorised MEWP use. The stand alone unit locks and unlocks the machine’s upper control functions and is available as a pre fitted option on our rental fleet.

IPAF Training Courses

AFI are recognised as one of the leading approved IPAF training providers in the UK. We deliver our training through our UTN Training brand.Operating nationwide from either your own premises* or our own extensive network of depots spread throughout the UK, you can be confident when choosing UTN as your training provider that we will be able to deliver a course to suit your needs.

Upon successful completion of an IPAF course you will receive a PAL (Powered Access Licence) card and an IPAF operator’s log book to record the various machines you operate.

Your PAL card is valid for 5 years giving instant recognition of your identity and the IPAF categories you’re qualified to operate.

NVQ & Funded Learning

We are able to offer NVQ assessment and funded learning to customers across a number of industries. An NVQ is different from a traditional taught course as it requires you to show what you currently do and how you have the underpinning knowledge necessary to do your work, as opposed to teaching and testing you on new knowledge. To prove their competence, candidates collect evidence from their workplace according to the National Occupational Standard (NOS) of the NVQ.
