Comfort Cooling Systems
Comfort Cooling for Business
In hotter weather people can become uncomfortable in the heat, and this can lead to a lack of concentration and in some cases a want to leave the premises. Comfort Cooling systems are an affordable way for smaller businesses to keep your staff and visitors happy and more productive. There are a variety of comfort cooling units available, suitable for all circumstances and budgets.
Domestic Comfort Cooling
Domestic comfort cooling can provide you and your family with a much more comfortable home during hot weather at an affordable price. Air Management Solutions have a large selection of comfort cooling units suitable for domestic use at affordable prices.

Cooling Systems
Helping Businesses Throughout the South West
Air Management Solutions has helped local warehouses, wineries, food processing plants and various other businesses by providing state of the art cooling systems designed specifically for them. Such as freezers with temperatures of minus 30 degrees ideal for food production and storage.

VRF Systems
Save Energy
You can save energy using VRF systems to control each floor or room's temperature individually as they can ensure you are not heating or cooling empty rooms. This means you only use the energy you need to which makes the system ideal for offices or in a block of flats where each tenant would like a different temperature in their home.
Low Operating Costs
Using some of the most advanced VRF systems around Air Management Solutions Exeter means operating costs are kept low. Systems available include heat recovery, inverter technology and smart energy management control.
Schematic
Unsure of which system you need? Air Management Solutions are here to help, a member of our highly skilled team will advise you on the type of system that will best suit your needs and property and the reasons for this also outlining what the system can do for you. This service is as standard.

Air Conditioning for Server Rooms
During the summer the average room temperature will be higher than during the winter months this means that the cooling systems will be under more strain to keep the IT equipment cool. If the cooling system cannot cope then overheating may occur which can cause loss of data and/or could require repair work.

Air Conditioning Commissioning & Maintenance
We are also finding that some systems are inadequately commissioned. Although we are finding that more people are installing heatpump units, not many have been trained by manufacturers on how to correctly commission them. An incorrectly or part commissioned heatpump system could end up costing more to run and effect the performance of the system.
To be able to understand and work on these systems, our engineers have been manufacturer trained and as such, understand the units, so are able to fault find if required. All engineers hold the F Gas (refrigeration) qualification and G3 unvented hot water certification.

Ventilation Systems
COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL VENTILATION SYSTEMS
Commercial and Industrial properties for example restaurants, hospitals and factories will often require a high quality of air.
Air Management Solutions can help by providing ventilation systems specific to your needs and requirements.
Having a Ventilation system installed can help with humidity, the air quality and the general comfort of your workers and visitors.
DOMESTIC VENTILATION SYSTEMS
Air Management Solutions have ventilation systems for all locations and budgets. Providing home owners with ventilation systems for bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms helping the rooms smell fresh and reduce humidity.
We always work with your requirements and needs in mind ensuring the system you get is the best choice for your home.

Fire Damper Testing & Replacement
The British Standard 9999:2008 ‘Code of Practice for Fire Safety in the Design, Management & Use of Buildings’ defines a Fire Damper as a: “Mechanical device that is operated automatically or manually and is designed to prevent the passage of fire and, together with its frame, is capable of meeting the fire resistance criterion for integrity for a stated period of time”.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order it is a legal requirement to test fire dampers at regular intervals in accordance with fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings code of practice (BS:9999 2017), using a method known as ‘drop testing’. Previously, under BS:9999 2008, fire dampers were categorised according to their type; a small number needed to be drop tested only every two years; now all fire dampers must be drop tested and cleaned annually.

Ventilation Duct Cleaning

Heat Recovery Ventilation
Air Management Solutions can supply a range of MVHR units that provide your property with an affordable, reliable and energy efficient system, while recovering and reusing existing heat within the property to help save money and still give you clean fresh air.

Renewable Energy Heating & Hot Water
HEATPUMPS
Heatpumps are a renewable energy alternative to heating your
home efficiently and yes, they provide the domestic hot water too.
Heatpumps are available in various models, however the two most common types are those which extract heat from the ground (ground source) and those which use the ambient outside air temperature (air to water). Being super efficient, as long as designed and installed correctly, heatpumps will help save money on energy bills as well as reducing carbon emissions harmful to the environment.
SOLAR THERMAL
Solar Thermal panels offer an alternative way to heat your domestic hot water.
During the summer months, as long as designed and installed correctly, the bulk of your hot water can be met by as little as two panels, which means they are easy to site onto most properties with a southerly facing roof elevation.
The panels absorb heat from the sun which in turn heats the hot water in your tank without the need for boiler intervention.
During the winter months, the panels will assist the boiler but act very much as a back up heat source.
UNDERFLOOR HEATING
Whether renovating or self building your new home, more and more people are looking at alternative ways of heating the building. Of course there are the old favourite, the radiators, however underfloor heating has become very much in demand due to its space saving properties, freeing up valuable wall space, plus it's ability to provide a constant heat to the entire room space.

Air to Water Heat Pumps
An air to water heatpump is a device which extracts naturally produced energy from the air around us and converts it into useful energy, warm enough to heat your central heating and domestic hot water.
How does it work?
Outside air is drawn through a set of fins at the rear of the heatpump. This is called an evaporator. Heat is extracted from the air and used to heat a refrigerant circuit which has a very low boiling point. The heated refrigerant is then compressed producing a superheated refrigerant gas, and this is then passed through a second heat exchanger called a condenser. On the other side of the condenser is the central heating water. The heat produced from the compressed refrigerant gas is transferred through the condenser into the central heating water, heating it to a high enough temperature to be able to run your radiators or underfloor and provide your domestic hot water.

Air to Air Heatpump Units
An air to air heatpump looks like and operates in the same way as an air conditioning unit, however, with one key difference. An air to air heatpump unit is designed to heat but with the ability to be reversed to cool. An air conditioning unit does the exact opposite.
The air to air heatpump is completely independent from your existing heating system and will assist your current system in achieving room temperature.
The air to air heatpump supplies heat only and does not provide hot water (see air to water heatpump).
How does it work?
Outside air is drawn through a heat exchanger housed within the outdoor unit commonly known as the evaporator. Heat is extracted from the air and used to heat a refrigerant circuit which has a very low boiling point. The heated refrigerant is then compressed producing superheated refrigerant which then passes to a second heat exchanger called a condenser which is in fact the indoor wall mounted unit. The heat produced is then pushed out into the room by means of a fan house within the indoor unit. Once the heat transfer takes place, the cooled refrigerant then passes through an expansion valve which changes its state back to a vapour and the pressure is reduced. The process can then begin again.

Domestic Underfloor Heating Systems
Underfloor Heating is an optional, neat, cost effective way to heat all rooms within a building.
For new build and full renovation properties it is a simple installation solution freeing up valuable wall space and providing an even distribution of heat.
For single room alterations and kitchen extensions, a single room underfloor heating solution is available.

Energy Saving Controls
Modern smart controls are both designed with energy efficiency in mind and can also be activated remotely from an electronic device like a smart phone or tablet.
And modern software is now so advanced that any electrical device can be remotely accessed and controlled.

Maintenance Services
Regular maintenance also acts as an early warning system should the engineer notice any potential problems within the working components which may lead to a breakdown farther down the line, and as we know, this generally happens at the most inopportune, inconvenient time and when it’s most needed.
Air Management Solutions Ltd offer comprehensive maintenance service for all products, systems we have installed as well as systems installed by others.

Breakdown Services
A properly installed and maintained heating / cooling system should at a minimum, last for the manufacturer's guaranteed life span.
In most circumstances, a regularly maintained and serviced system will achieve this.
However parts do occasionally go wrong and in the unlikely event that your system should breakdown, the good news is that Air Management Solutions Ltd, are available, day or night, to come to your aid.
Our response team will endeavour to get your system back up and running where possible and in the shortest time possible.
