Raychem trace heating cables - self regulating

Raychem self regulating trace heating cable automatically adjusts the power output to compensate for temperature changes. Raychem self regulating trace heating cables consist of two parallel conductors embedded in a heating core made of conductive polymer. Since the invention by Raychem of self regulating heat trace heating cable over 40 years ago, more than 500,000 km of Raychem self regulating heat trace heating cables are now installed successfully worldwide, offering proven and reliable electric heat trace heating systems. Some of the many benefits of self regulating heat trace heating cables are; • Easy installation as cables may be cut to length and be overlapped at valves or flanges • Uniform temperatures, as the heating cable senses and responds to actual conditions • Unconditional T-ratings as specified by European Norm EN 60079-30-1 • Maximum process temperatures, even when temperature controls fail • Operating voltages up to 277 V • Temperature maintenance up to 150°C • Circuit lengths up to 245 m Raychem self regulating heat trace heating system technology is available in BTV, QTVR, KTV, XTV or VPL heating tape ranges of products. Suitable for a diverse range of applications in construction for larger buildings, industry and hazardous area locations.

Raychem power limiting trace heating cable

Raychem power limiting heating cables allow for higher exposure temperature and higher power output at elevated temperatures.Raychem power-limiting cables are parallel heaters formed by a coiled resistor alloy heating element wrapped around two parallel bus wires. At a fixed distance, the insulation is removed from the alternate bus wires to form a heating zone.The positive temperature coefficient effect (PTC) of the heating element reduces power output as ambient temperature increases. This effect allows the power-limiting cable to be overlapped by reducing the temperature of the heating element at the overlap points.Raychem power limiting cable can be used for freeze protection and process temperature maintenance requiring high power output and/or high temperature exposure. Raychem power limiting cables can provide process temperature maintenance up to 455°F (235°C) and can withstand exposure temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) with power off.

Raychem E-100-E trace heating end seal kit

The E-100-E is explosion proof and certfied for use in ATEX zone 1 and zone 2 hazardous areas. Raychem C-150-E cold applied low profile connection kit. Designed to connect power 100-254 Vac, to a single Raychem BTV, QTVR, XTV or KTV heat trace heating cable. It can be directly mounted to a pipe and may withstand temperatures ranging from -50°C to +215°C and is approved by PTB for hazardous area use
