Articulating Roller Forming
The new ELECTRIC EA30 is the world's first fully servo-driven articulating roller forming machine with three axis.
Thanks to its fully servo-driven process control, workpieces are formed with three axis, one in vertical motion downwards, one in a rotary motion, and one in an articulating (in-out) motion of the rollers. The process control software is individually programmable, allowing the machine to perform 3D profiles.
What makes the ELECTRIC EA30 so unique is the servo-controlled articulating motion, which delivers significantly higher precision and control than conventional solutions that require manual adjustment of a mechanical stop.
Last but not least, an attractive feature of the ELECTRIC EA30 is its slim design, as all three servo motors are aligned within the unit. Therefore the EA30 is well suited for integration into automated production lines with limited space or as part of a stand-alone work cell where frequent changeover of nests and programs may be necessary.

Bench Top Riveting Machines
The RN and EN riveting machines are complete workstations with stable cast columns and tables. They have a two-hand start button including a safety relay, height adjustment & clamping, RN 081 − RN 331 and EN-types are standard pneumatic riveting machine packages, and RN 381 includes a standard hydraulic package, and work lamp. RN is for radial riveting applications while EN are designed for orbital riveting.
Pedestal Riveting Machines
The RNS machines come as complete work station, specially designed for high or long parts. The working table is adjustable while the riveting unit remains fixed. The package includes stable cast column and table, and two-hand start button including safety relay. RNS 081 − RNS 331 machines include standard pneumatic package. RNS 381 − RNS 481 machines include standard hydraulic package.
With Rotary Indexing Table
These RNR riveting machines are complete work stations and come with: column and riser plate, electrical rotary indexing table with 6 stations (optional with 4), safety enclosure, two-hand buttons including safety relay or foot pedal, with pneumatic ejection of the riveted parts on request, standard pneumatics, and work lamp.
Double Riveting Machines
The RND machines come as a complete work station: two riveting machines assembled on one frame (bench top model: RND 081 − RND 231, stand-alone work station: RND 281 − RND 331). The riveting units can be moved on both sides. Simultaneous riveting is possible. Time Based Control RC-30 serves both riveting units at the same time. The machines also inlcude options for two-hand start button including safety relay.
Servo Riveting Units
BalTec servo riveting units and have a coaxial motor concept and are therefore very space saving. A further advantage is the interchangeable riveting head which allows users to apply the machine for different processes.
Radial Riveting Units
The standard radial riveting units are always combinable with the process and monitoring control HPP-25 or with a time based control device.
Orbital Riveting Units
Orbital riveting for permanent joints is a cold forming process, suitable for different materials. The angled peen applies axial forces to a part and continuously forms the rivet into a predefined shape.
Roller Forming Units
The rolling process is achieved by means of shaped rollers that rotate and roll on the part to be formed in order to form the permanent connection.
Units with Long Stroke
BalTec riveting units for applications where a long stroke is needed are operated with radial riveting technique.
Units with Front or Side Motor
Whenever there is a space problem in height, a front or side-mounted motor is the solution for convenient integration into automation systems.
Units with Flange Mounting
The standard riveting units are also available as flange mount version, but only on request; dimensionally identical to standard base units.

Control & Monitoring
The well-known HPP-25 Process control and monitoring system with integrated archiving possibilities comes with 6 different control criteria, 45 different riveting modes, accurate rivet detection during riveting cycle. Settings can be customized and saved, and the integrated archiving and logging of process data allows for data collection on USB sticks or Excel files.
Forming Tools
All forming tools and standard riveting peens are manufactured inhouse. They are apt for materials such as HSS (High Speed Steel).
Multiple Riveting
With the MRX, multiple rivets can be formed simultaneously within a limited area. This option allows you to produce more in less time.
Rivet Base Detection
The BalTec rivet base detection devices recognize the rivet projection, serve as a hold-down device and help to reliably recognize components before forming with tolerance errors or missing components.
Sliding Tables
BalTec sliding tables are accessories that allow loading and unloading of rivets in a safe and still efficient way. There are manual or pneumatic sliding tables.
