KDH-5 Weigh Module

KDH-5 Weigh Module

The KDH-5 weigh module combines high accuracy with a compact and robust mechanical arrangement. The sensing element consists of three sections. The two outer constitute supports and rests on the built-in block, which is secured to the base. On the middle section, which is the load sensing part, there is a yoke to which the leg of a tank or similar is secured. The sensor is efficiently locked so that it cannot twist in the built-in block. The KDH-5 design is non-sensitive to side loads and the design of the module makes it easy to remove the load cell at e.g. dummy installation during assembly of the vessel to be weighed.

Tank Mount Weigh Modules are well suited for general industrial applications that require retroitting an existing structure or hopper into a scale. Tank Mount uses a stainless steel beam transducer coupled with semiloating mounting hardware. Correctly radially installed weigh modules result in a checkless system that is able to handle moderate degrees of thermal expansion and contraction. Tank Mount weight modules come in capacity ranges of 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 kg with plated steel hardware as a standard, optionally in stainless steel. Load beam sealing meets IP68 and IP69K requirements.

CLC Load Cell

The model CLC is a very low profile load cell, working according to the shear force principle (no membrane), ideally suited for applications in harsh environments. Due to the special design, the CLC load cell is insensitive against side loading and other interfering effects. Because of the high operating temperature range of -40 up to +125°C, the CLC load cell is suitable for use in steel mills and foundries. Due to the high repeatability and high long-term stability, the load cell supplies very good results, even after perennial use. Protection class IP67 gives an excellent protection against dust and moisture.

FMU Tension Measurement Module

FMU applications include all zones on paper processing machines and steel mill strip tension equipment. Each FMU consists of two precision load cells, a load plate that carries the pillow block, and a base plate that mounts to the machine support. The unique design of the FMU allows measurement of the resultant web tension force without the need to mount the entire assembly on a sloped support. Because the load cells are cylindrical, they can be rotated to measure in the direction of the exactresultant force. Measuring the resultant force rather than a vertical or horizontal component assures the highest possible accuracy and eliminates wrap angle restrictions. Tension signals from the FMU feed directly into a web tension transmitter which provides load cell excitation and a communication interface for the host PLC/DCS system. G4 Panel Mount Instrument

The Nobel - BLH G4 family of process control instruments offers high speed, high performance control for industrial weighing/force measurement applications plant wide. G4 units set new standards geared for today's application demands and tomorrow's expanding requirements. A large (5.7 inch) color touch screen facilitates quick, easy operation and simplifies parameter changes. The screen displays up to 4 weighing/force channels simultaneously, allowing the user full control of multiple process vessels. The large touch screen provides good visibility of the process and easy navigation through parameter menus and settings. G4 instruments accommodate up to seven different, easily installed, modules for advanced performance, more functional channels, custom applications, or repair. This provides customers with a highly flexible, upgradeable, single instrument system capable of weighing up to eight independent vessels or scales. Inputs and outputs can be configured according to customer requirements. A wide variety of industrial communication interfaces (Ethernet, RS232, RS485), Protocols (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP) and Fieldbuses (Profibus or Devicenet) are available. Software upgrades can be downloaded to the instrument from our website, or be transferred to the G4 unit via a standard USB port connection. Custom software designed to customer requirements for special applications is available upon request. G4 instruments have four base mounting options: DIN Rail, Panel, Desktop, and Harsh Environment. The last three are IP65 rated, while the DIN rail-mount is IP20 rated. Units can be configured for either 24 volt DC or 115/230 volt AC operation.

G4-RM units set new standards geared for today's application demands and tomorrow's expanding requirements. G4-RM instruments accommodate up to three different, easily installed, modules for advanced performance, more functional channels, custom applications, or repair. This provides customers with a highly flexible, upgradeable, single instrument system capable of weighing up to six independent vessels or scales. For web tension applications, up to six zones (rolls) can be monitored simultaneously. Inputs and outputs can be configured according to customer requirements. A wide variety of industrial communication interfaces (Ethernet, RS232, RS485), Protocols (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP) and Fieldbuses (Profibus or Devicenet) are available. Software upgrades can be downloaded to the instrument from our website, or be trans- ferred to the G4-RM unit via a standard USB port connection. Custom software designed to customer requirements for special applications is available upon request. DIN Rail mount units are rated IP20. Power supply is 24V DC.

WIN5 Instrument

The WIN 5 weight indicator is designed for operations with load cells in simple industrial applications. The indicator is equipped with operating pushbuttons that allow: tare weight setting, zero setting for empty balance, and displaying of gross and net weight values. The readouts of the measured mass are presented on a 6-digit LED display. The relay control outputs can adjust the level of measured signal and are controlled according to level value. The indicator’s software allows the performance of two calibration methods: data sheet calibration or dead weight calibration. Moreover, the indicator is equipped with analog current output. The indicator is available in 24 VDC or 230 VAC power supply.

It converts the output from connected loadcells into a very stable signal suitable for PC or PLC based control systems AST 3P is typically used where a local display is essential either for displaying data or for front panel set-up. The set-up and calibration procedure is easily performed either from the front panel or by using the deltaCOM programme via a standard PC running under Windows 95/98/2000/NT4/ME/XP. All set-up data can be stored in the host computer and downloaded in case of replacement of the transmitter (full deltaCOM version is required). The transmitter is fitted with two relay ouputs having a response time of less than 20 msec. for use in high precision level control applications. A unique and patented A/D converter, of high resolution and stability, serves as the heart of the transmitter. This advanced technology provides both analogue and serial outputs which can be conditioned to give the user accurate, stable and rapid response measurement information. The AST 3P is compatible with other instruments in the Nobel programme and can communicate via standard RS-485/MODBUS RTU protocol with a common process control host - PC/PLC. Fieldbus communication is possible via the GATE 3S module from Nobel. The transmitter is CE marked, and fully compliant with the EMC and Low Voltage directives
