AD Access
The introduction of low cost laser systems has led to the development of an entry level fum extraction solution in order to maintain safe operator working conditions and product quality.
The AD Access combines economic ownership with performance to match the small laser user. A three stage filter condition indicator is included as a standard feature, together with three stage filtration; DeepPleat pre filter, HEPA and chemical section.

AD 350
BOFA’s AD 350 fume extraction and filtration system effectively removes potentially harmful fumes and particulates created during the laser marking process. By maintaining a dust-free operating area, the system helps to protect valuable equipment, maintain a higher quality mark, and reduce the number of rejects and contaminants.
The quiet and compact AD 350 effectively removes potentially harmful fumes and particulate created during light duty laser marking, coding and engraving applications making it ideal for use in schools, sign making workshops and small scale industrial environments.

AD Oracle iQ
The ‘Best in Class’ high performance AD Oracle has now been further enhanced with BOFA’s iQ Operating System, combining a range of unique features into one compact unit.
The iQ Operating System performs at two distinct levels. Operators benefit from ease of operation and clarity of real time information, the system also provides a case of analytical data, enabling users to download performance and operating parameters for evaluation purposes.
The iQ system takes performance and safety parameters to a new level and ensures that maintenance downtime and ownership costs are kept to a minimum.

AD PVC iQ
The latest design specfication now covers many of the features associated with our “best in class” AD Oracle iQ (see page 13) model as standard but in addition all internally exposed surfaces have been coated to resist the corrosive nature of the fume and each unit is fitted with HCL and VOC sensors which continually monitor the exhaust air of the unit giving added safety assurance.

AD 1000 iQ
BOFA’s AD 1000 iQ high end laser extraction system combines extremely large filter capacity with high airflow and pressure rates, making it the ideal choice for heavy duty applications that generate large amounts of particulate and gaseous organic compounds.

AD Cyclone
Most people are aware of cyclone separators thanks to Sir James Dyson and his vacuum cleaners.
Cyclone separators are useful at capturing particles of 20micron and larger, i.e. visible to the naked eye.
Unfortunately laser marking generates a wide range of particle sizes that are smaller than this so standard cyclone separators are not as efficient.
BOFA International commissioned the University of Southampton in the UK, using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) techniques, to develop a cyclone to operate more efficiently at these lower particle sizes.
The AD Cyclone separator has been design specifically for use with the AD Oracle iQ extraction unit and is installed between the laser extraction point and the extractor. The airflow generated by the extraction unit powers the cyclone.

FireBOX GA
Self extinguishing inline pre-filter
In the event that a burning ember is drawn into the fume extraction unit, there is the possibility that hot debris in the filters could ignite. Although any resultant fire would typically be retained within the fume extraction unit, this would cause significant damage and in extreme circumstances the risk may extend beyond the extraction unit. For processes where such risks have been identified, additional protection in the form of an in line FireBOX is an additional precaution.
The built in temperature controller can be set so when a 10°C (18°F) temperature rise over the pre-set ambient temperature is detected, the FireBOX GA will activate the isolating valves and switch off the power to the extraction unit, suppressing the airflow to the FireBOX and reducing the fire. If the temperature rises another 10°C (18°F) then the fire extinguisher will be activated.
Independent tests by Ordnance Testing Solutions Ltd found the FireBOX GA contains and suppresses fires consisting of burning polymer particulate. The FireBOX GA is designed for general applications and is not for use on metal-based applications. Please refer to the FireBOX MA or contact us to ensure you chose the right system.

V 2000 iQ
The V 2000 iQ’s technology is proven to deliver superior and measurable performance, ensuring airflow and filtration is maintained even when particulates start to build up. It’s thanks to the vacuum/pressure which is three times greater than that of its predecessor, the V 2000. This makes it suitable for the most demanding and complex installations, so you can rely on extended filter life, together with effective removal of fumes and particulates.
It’s user friendly too, with a design that makes easy work of filter changes. And the easy to read and access controls display panel is conveniently located on top of the unit. The iQ Operating System is Patent-protected and has received global acclaim for its ability to maximise manufacturing performance and continuity of production.
The V 2000 iQ’s design also permits greater flexibility of different exhaust installations. Different exhaust configurations allow recirculation via the rear panel or externally vented hose connection systems.

TCU
The Temperature control unit (TCU) has been designed to meet a very specific process requirement within the electronics sector. The reliable placement or surface mount devices during PCB assembly requires that during the initial printing stage the solder paste is maintained at a temperature which ensures optimum performance.
With assembly now on a global basis the variation of local climate and factory conditions means that this optimum level cannot be maintained without some form of intervention.
The design of the TCU includes cooling and and heating elements which ensure that the temperature within the printing environment is maintained within 1°C of the optimum paste performance temperature regardless of whether the factory ambient is above or below this level.
