Tog-L-Loc® Sheet Metal Clinching System
Tog-L-Loc® (pronounced tog-uhl-lŏk) is a process known as clinching which cold-forms the part metal using a special punch and die to form a strong interlocking clinch joint. The result of the process is a round, button shaped extrusion on the die side of the assembly, and a small cylindrical cavity on the punch side. The clinch joint requires only the sheet metals that were joined. No external fasteners, or welding is utilised in the process.

V-Loc™
BTM’s standard for clinching aluminium, and is also ideal for when visibility requires a rivet look.
What is V-Loc™?
V-Loc™ is a visually improved Tog-L-Loc®joint which features a raised spherical inner diameter with a concentric outer ring. This design is intended to give the appearance of a more traditional fastener, but the process is essentially the same as the trusted Tog-L-Loc® joining method, which clinches sheet metals together using a punch and a die rather than the application of external fasteners or welding.

Oval-Loc
What is Oval-Loc™?
BTM’s oval shaped clinch joint provides the anti-rotation benefit of our Lance-N-Loc™joint while being leak proof, improving tool life and does not cut through materials.

Lance-N-Loc
What is Lance-N-Loc™?
Lance-N-Loc™ is a sheet metal clinching system which creates a strong mechanical joint by lancing the 2 long sides of the joint and gradually drawing the ends. The material on the sides of the joint is compressed and interlocked, while the gradually sloping ends allow harder materials to be joined making higher strength joints, all in a single press stroke.
Note: Lance-N-Loc™ is not leak-proof.

Heavy Duty Tog-L-Loc® Units
These units require a hydraulic power source.

Lit-L-Loc® Units
The Tog-L-Loc® Punch and Die tools are reversible within the unit to form the “button” in either direction. The guns can be set up to join a range of thicknesses or optimized for a specific metal thickness.
Standard throat depths are: 11.0mm, 48mm & 85mm.

Lit-L-Loc® Booster Assembly
Use with BTM standard 2.0 metre hose assembly No. 711100B or optional 3.0 meter hose assembly No. 711100C.

Ducting Crocodile Clinch Unit
The Ducting Crocodile Clinch Unit is operated via a separate intensifying booster connected to 6.0 bar clean compressed air. A 4.0 metre hydraulic hose connects the booster to the clinch unit allowing the operator freedom of movement around the component being clinched.

Battery Clinch Unit
It allows total freedom for example on a construction site in the Modular Steel Frame Building industry where it is difficult to use compressed air or where you just need that extra bit of portability.
Used with a shoulder strap or suspended from a balancer coupled with the option of using as a mains electric unit operated via a simple transformer turns this unit into a truly adaptable and portable unit.

Bayonet Unit
The complete system consists of a intensifying booster (as per the Lit-L-Loc booster assembly) which converts shop air into hydraulic forces, a 2.0 meter hose assembly and the Bayonet unit itself with two sets of Tog-L-Loc® tools. The Tog-L-Loc® Punch and Die are reversible within the unit to form the “button” in either direction.
The guns can be set up to join a range of thicknesses or optimised for a specific metal thickness. Standard throat depths are 25 & 50mm but custom made units are available. Contact BTM for your specific requirements.

UniClinch Unit
The design allows the user to work using rapid strokes and considerable force.
Tog-L-Loc® can be used for sheet metal up to 2 x 1.5mm thick.
The tool is both light-weight and well-balanced to minimize the strain on the user. The tool has few moving parts and has a high level of operational reliability.

Pneumatic Presses
This quick acting mechanism drastically reduces air consumption as compared with conventional pneumatic cylinders doing the same work. BTM press bodies are constructed of lightweight aluminium hard coated to a Rockwell C-70 for excellent wear characteristics.
