Apex2 Personal Sampling Pump

Apex2 Personal Sampling Pump

Whatever media you’re using you can be assured that the Apex2 personal sampling pump has the power to handle any personal monitoring regime. Optimised at around 2l/min, the flow at which most Occupational Hygiene measurements are made, the Apex2 personal sampling pump has outstanding back pressure capability.
There are no more worries about battery life: The Apex2 personal sampling pump has high performing Li Ion batteries and an intelligent battery life indicator letting you know exactly how much charge you have left. And with the Apex2 performing with a pulsation value of ~10% you can have true confidence in the integrity of your samples. With its slim, ergonomic design, the pump is less obtrusive to the wearer allowing them to carry on with their job whilst being monitored. A sturdy clip with a lifetime guarantee means it’s secure and the detachable rubber boot guards against knocks. Flow Detective™

Flow Detective™

The Flow Detective™ is an easy to use all-in-one airflow calibrator that is suitable for all types of air sampling pumps and other applications for flows up to 5L/min. It is a rugged, compact lab or field portable calibrator which removes the need to purchase multiple flowmeters. This minimizes set up prior to undertaking calibrations, and saves on purchasing costs and valuable time to undertake pump calibrations.

Air sampling pump calibration is critical in verifying the precise measurement of exposure. Without this, it is impossible to accurately determine the sample volume and calculate the accurate concentration of any airborne contaminants. The Flow Detective™ calibrator is the reliable solution to minimize measurement errors and helps ensure ISO 13137 compliance for air sampling measurements.

It calibrates any air sampling pump within airflows 20mL/min (Plus model) to 5,000 mL/min, to ensure correct flow with automated traceable measurements in order to reduce the risk of errors. With it’s wide flow range, as well as calibrating dust sampling heads, it can be used to calibrate at low flows for sorbent tube sampling, so ensuring just one device is needed for all personal air sampling calibrations.

The calibrator allows transmission of data via the email client on your mobile devices. When used with the Casella Apex2 pump, closed loop calibration can be achieved so nothing has to be set manually on the pump. This saves valuable time and eliminates the potential for errors.

As pumps generally use a moving diaphragm, this creates fluctuations in the flow rate on a pump. As sampling heads like cyclones rely on a steady flow to maintain a specific size cut, it is important for pulsation to be as small as possible. The Flow Detective™ displays a red indicator if pulsation is above 10%.
Microdust Pro

Microdust Pro

The Microdust Pro is a real-time hand-held, data logging instrument for the detection of airborne dusts, fumes and aerosols. It is ideal for walk-through surveys and for checking the effectiveness of control measures. It is a simple to use instrument which gives the user the additional qualitative data which cannot be gained by gravimetric air sampling methods alone. This extremely versatile instrument can also be used with a range of accessories for static and size selective sampling applications. The screens are colour coded to ease navigation. Real-time instantaneous readings are given on the large display along with average levels. The Microdust Pro logs the data also which means that it can be downloaded later for review. The instrument is factory calibrated using ISO 12103-1 Fine Dust Test and each probe is also supplied with its own unique Calibration Insert which creates a known optical scattering effect in the probe’s sampling chamber. This means that the Microdust Pro can be field calibrated; a unique feature in the marketplace. The Microdust Pro can also be used in conjunction with a personal sampling pump and gravimetric adaptors for size selection: Total Inhalable, Respirable or PM2.5 and PM10. An enclosure is available also for static, longer measurements.

Dust Detective

Dust Detective

For site operators and managers who need to monitor the dust levels within their site, inside or outside, or at the boundary, the Casella Dust Detective is the ideal tool for survey measurements. It comprises of the Microdust Pro, a real time, logging dust monitor and a personal sampling pump all housed in a rugged casing to IP65. This means that you can use the Dust Detective both indoors and out and it’s unobtrusive with its black casing so will not draw attention. The Dust Detective will work off the internal batteries for up to 13 hours, so more than a shift, without change. The Casella Dust Detective is also capable of size selection of fractions with optional accessories, whether Occupational Hygiene measurements of Total Inhalable or Respirable fractions or the Environmental fractions, PM2.5 and PM10. The Casella Dust Detective logs the data over time and this can be downloaded for evaluation and reporting purposes using Casella Insight Data Management Software. Insight generates graphs and summary data allowing you to easily identify trends in the dust levels, hotspots and areas of concern for you to make informed decisions and action as necessary.

Guardian2

Guardian2

The Guardian2 Site Boundary Monitor is designed to help you remain compliant with site emission levels, using remote monitoring and reporting of noise, dust and vibration levels. Powered by mains, solar or battery, the Guardian2 is ideal for any construction noise monitoring or environmental dust measurement location, no matter how remote. For further details on solar or battery power options see the solar and battery power section below.

Simply plug in to the power source and it will begin continuous emission monitoring, its that simple!

The Guardian2 includes Casella’s ‘mHub’ logger with a built in ‘E-sim’ simcard. The E-sim has low data costs and searches several networks to ensure the highest possible signal strength, helping to ensure good data connectivity.

A report can be readily produced for site dust or noise compliance purposes and in addition, the system provides alerts via text message or an email should limits be exceeded. Reports can be easily be automated and sent to multiple users. For example, one user can be receiving a report about pm10 monitoring dust levels, where another user can receive a report about noise risk assessment measurement levels.
