Here at Cetronic we have been supplying, installing and maintaining uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems throughout the UK for over 50 years. We are an ISO 9001 certified company that also holds accreditation by SafeContractor and Constructionline. We supply a number of uninterruptible power supplies utilising a number of technologies. These include UPS systems ranging from 400VA to 800KVA, in single modules and parallel models. We also offer N+1 UPS models up to 6.4MVA. We are a Riello UPS Authorised Reseller and Riello UPS UK Service Partner. Our single phase output uninterruptible power supply (UPS) models range from 400VA to 100KVA, while three-phase UPS and data centre UPS systems can provide power up to 800KVA in a single unit. These uninterruptible power supply units can also be parallel connected should you be looking for more power or resilience in your UPS infrastructure.

Constant Voltage Transformers (CVT) 250VA to 45KVA

Constant voltage transformers (CVT’s) use the ferro-resonant principle to provide a stable output voltage free from impulses, spikes and harmonics. They have an extremely rugged and robust design and are particularly suited to harsh environments. Requiring little or no maintenance the CVT is an ideal solution for the protection of voltage sensitive equipment in industrial applications.

The CVT provides a stable output voltage with an instantaneous correction to input voltage fluctuations. This power conditioner provides a sinusoidal output waveshape even when the input waveform is very distorted and will stop load current harmonics being reflected onto the mains supply.

Galvanic isolation together with the rugged and robust design make the ferro-resonant transformer an ideal solution for industrial applications.

The Cetronic range includes single and 3 phase air-cooled, dry type and oil cooled transformers up to 1250KVA. The transformers can be supplied open (without enclosure) or enclosed in various housings to meet the IP rating required.

Single phase control panel transformers are available from stock whilst other transformers or reactors are usually delivered in 1 − 2 weeks of order dependant on size and quantity.

Maintaining electrical power to your mission critical applications is paramount to keeping your IT systems running. Although uninterruptible power supplies are an important part of your electrical infrastructure, what would happen if the UPS output failed! The ability to switch seamlessly from one power source to another is required to keep your systems running smoothly.

Static transfer switches provide ultra-fast switching between two synchronised input power sources, offering virtually uninterrupted power to your electronic equipment. A static transfer switch allows maintenance of power sources without the need to shut down critical equipment.

These static transfer switches can be set to use source A or B as the primary supply for the critical load, on failure of the selected source the load will be transferred automatically to the alternative source. When the primary source returns, the load will be seamlessly re-transferred to the primary supply.

Single and three phase systems with 3 or 4 pole switching are available with power ratings from 16A to 800A, having manual bypass mechanisms and an LCD screen providing status, metering and alarm information.

AC to DC rectifiers and chargers in modular, wall mount or 19” rack mount enclosures. These systems can be used as a power supply, battery charger or (when combined with batteries) as a DC UPS (uninterruptible power supply). When used as a DC UPS, low battery voltage disconnect (LVD) circuitry is also included.

DC to AC sinewave output inverters in modular, stand-alone or 19” rack mount enclosures.

Silent Diesel Generators

Diesel powered generator sets are still the primary choice for standby and emergency power systems. Whereas a UPS provides continuous no-break power to the critical load or data centre for a period of time specified by the capacity of the associated batteries. A generator when installed with an auto-start/change-over panel can sense a power failure, start the generator and power the load within 10-20 seconds. The generator will then run for as long as it has fuel. They offer rugged dependability and reliable mechanical and electrical performance.

Industrial Precision Thermostats

COMEPA offer a complete line of “THERMOPA” bimetallic thermostats covering the needs of the industrial, military and aerospace markets.

COMEPA manufactures and markets a complete line of standards thermostats as well as specific “customised” products.

A diversity of connections and a choice of fixings are available. Thermostats with switching capacities between 1A to 16A and operating temperatures of between -50°C to 260°C.

A hermetically sealed model is also available.

Power Monitoring Surveys and Services

Cetronic have been providing nationwide on-site power monitoring surveys for over 30 years. We cover the entire UK monitoring the power to any particular device, room, floor, building or site.

Our power monitoring surveys analyse the electrical power on single phase or three phase systems over a period of time, often a week or more. Our power monitoring surveys are tailored to focus on a particular area of concern, be it graphical power consumption (load profile), power harmonics and disturbance analysis.

UPS Battery Installation

The batteries are critical to the integrity of your UPS system. Most modern UPS systems will perform and monitor short battery tests on a regular basis, however it is also essential to maintain these systems to ensure they will operate correctly when needed.

Cetronic can supply, install, maintain or replace a wide variety of batteries, the most common being sealed lead acid (VRLA) with a 5 or 10 year design life, some conforming to BS6290 pt4.

Cetronic is a hazardous waste registered company, allowing for correct disposal and recycling of old batteries.

Cetronic power solutions can provide an installation service for your UPS, generator and manual bypass control panels complete with all the necessary switchgear and distribution panels for both new and existing systems.
