Metal-sheathed cartridge heater with ground sheath. The special construction allows an extremely high surface loading, i.e. maximum power in the smallest possible space. Cartridge heaters are normally inserted into a metal block due to there high surface loading. Our cartridge heaters can be made with distributed wattage allowing greater heater output at the ends as opposed to the middle. They can also be made with low(24v) and high voltages as well as dual voltages and incorporate temperature sensors. We can also supply cartridge heaters with self regulating ptc elements if required and in very small diameters down to 2.8mm. We can also supply very long cartridge heaters up to 6 metres in length and heaters with special mechanical fittings and connectors.

The heaters for small batch runs can be produced as wire wound heaters but for larger production batches we would look to supply etch foil types.
Wire wound heaters are available from one off to larger batch quantities with almost no limit to design variations to satisfy customer specification. All mats are manufactured to conform to the EEC Low Voltage and EMC Directives and are CE marked accordingly.
Silicone rubber because of its high temperature tolerance and superb electrical insulating properties is well suited to the production of heater mats. Heater mats are produced by laminating the evenly spaced resistance wires between two sheets of silicone rubber, reinforced with a glass textile to give improved mechanical strength.
These surface heaters are suitable for applications where precise heating is required. Fine resistance wires accurately and precisely positioned over areas of almost any shape or size. The close even spacing of the wires ensure a uniform heat distribution over the entire working area. The maximum continuous operating temperature for a silicone rubber heater mat is 200°C, allowing for a generous safety margin for short term over-temperature excursions as high as 230°C. Being thin and light weight, silicone rubber heater mats have a low thermal mass and therefore have rapid heat up characteristics and a fast response to temperature control.
Coil Heaters
High performance tubular cartridge heaters are sealed so they are not susceptable to ingress of moisture and will work upto 750 degrees c sheath temperture and offer a high watt density heating solution that can be coiled around as opposed to inserted into a tool. Coiled heater are used, where space is at a premium. The coil heaters are available with and without thermocouple and are available either in straight lengh for coiling or as pre coiled types with various different cross sections from round to square and rectangular. These heaters can also be used to heat large platterns and can be shaped to fit into a machined groove.
These heaters are availble from stock with a quick turn around from order to dispatch.
Applications for coiled heaters include plastics industry for the heating of nozzles in hotrunner systems. Coiled heaters are generally applied where space is restricted and are also used in medical and laboratory equipment.
Tubular Heaters
Applications for tubular heaters include railway point heating, plastics industry, apparatus construction, woodworking machinery, shoe machine industry, domestic appliances, foundries, high vacuum applications, laboratory work, packaging industry.
Immersion Heaters
Heating of liquid and gaseous media e. g. provision of hot water, boilers, oil heaters, air heaters.

To increase efficiency of Mica Plates the use of backing plates are recommended & wattage of 25 w/square inch. Terminals to customers specification, earth stud as required.

These Heaters (and Heater/Coolers) are finished machined to close tolerances with cut-outs, holes to suit clients requirements.

Drum Heaters
High powered silicone side heaters and base units are suitable for use on steel drums and are ideal for materials that readily accept the high temperatures generated.
The thermally insulated nylon heater jackets are designed for use with plastic drums but can be used on any containers where delicate materials such as foodstuffs require gentle warming. All drum heaters have thermostatic control and have been designed with safety in mind.

Thick Film Heaters
Thick film heating elements are suitable for contact heating of plan surfaces, and can be used to heat other mediums through a vessell. We have recently introduced another product range of thick film heating element on a tube, which may be used in applications requiring heating of flowing liquid.

Ceramic Heaters
The construction of the ceramic knuckle heater includes interlocking ceramic blocks with resistance wires threaded through holes in the ceramic. This method provides superior heat distribution across the band, resulting in an uniformly heated surface. Ceramic knuckle heaters are specifically engineered and manufactured with three layers:
- Aluminised steel sheath layer - improves mechanical protection to heater and resists corrosion.
- Ceramic fiber layer - provides thermal insulation, energy conservation and minimizes heat loss.
- Ceramic knuckle layer - provides mechanical protection and electrical insulation to the resistance element, which increases heater life and conducts or radiates the heat to the surface.
Ceramic Heaters are suitable for High Heat applications, having wattage 45w/square inch. Heaters can be in one - piece for wrap arond fitting. A Terminal Box is normally fitted with vent slots, supply single or 3 phase.
These can be manufactured to customers requirements, with cut outs to suit.

Heating Cables, Crankcase Heater
We offer the widest range of constant power heating cables reels, mono exit cable and heating cable all available as standard or special types.
Constant power heating cable supplied on a real to desired voltage (12v to 230v), Wattage 10 to 60w per meter. Customer to cut and terminate. Applications include underfloor heating, roof heating and anti-condensation in refrigeration. Wired in parallel so should a cable break occur the heater will continue to operate.
Mono exit cable manufactured to customer specifications. Designed to operate to a maximum of 200°C. High power 60W per meter Max. Fully sealed against water-ingress therefore can operate in tanks, radiators and pipes.
