Y Strainers
"Y" Strainers also take their name from their configuration.
They are most commonly used in pressurized lines, gas or liquid, but can also be used in suction or vacuum conditions.
They are intended for applications where small amounts of solid particulate are expected, and where clean-out will be infrequent.
If solids will flush easily from the screen, and fluid can be exhausted to atmosphere, a blow-down valve on the drain port will allow clean-out without removal of the screen, and without interrupting the process flow.

The high-quality mesh sleeves we produce are used for fixing and fastening in the construction industry.
Commonly referred to as ‘bonded anchor mesh sleeves’ our mesh sleeves provide a high-performance solution for adhesive anchoring into hollow materials.
While we stock mesh sleeves with diameters of 6mm-32mm, we can manufacture sleeves to your specifications: of various lengths and diameters, and with crimping styles to suit your specific requirements.

Last Chance Filters
Croft can supply high quality Last Chance Filters and can offer a variety of assemblies to suit any business sector. These filters will provide final protection of critical components from in-built and system generated contaminates - these filters are often used as a barrier. These filters are designed to interface with customer units and are supplied to customer specifics - manufactured exact to your requirements.
Water Absorption Filters
Crofts water absorption filter compromises of multi-functional water absorption fibres. It is capable to absorp and remove free water contents mixed into various lubricant oils (not all) by its super absorption features.
It has a double layer structure, with an outer layer of super absorbent material processed by a special method to a inner layer of acrylic fibre substance. When it comes into contact with water it rapidly absorbs the water and swells to about 12 times its diameter - see photographs on the right.

Baskets, Strainers and Cylinders
Croft Filters' baskets, strainers and cylinders make up one of the most widely used range of filters used to separate solids from liquids.
With a well-established design, each filter comprises an assembly of a perforated metal cylinder or cone that supports one or more layers of very fine wire mesh.

Cone Filters
Croft Filters supply cone filters, commonly used in a number of industry sectors. These filters can be manufactured in almost any size and specification, using a wide variety of materials. Usually placed inline in a fluid stream, they are generally used for high-velocity fluid flow applications.
Duplex & Duplex Housings
Croft filters are often required to supply products made from Duplex - Duplex stainless steel offers excellent resistant to corrosion and very high mechanical strength. The high corrosion resistance of duplex stainless steel ensures significantly more uptime than carbon steels and conventional stainless steels, while the mechanical strength allows for lighter constructions, more compact system design and less welding.
Not to be confused with the material Duplex, Croft also have a big demand for Duplex Filter Housings. Duplex Type strainers are used for pipelines operating continuously, where a single strainer cannot be used as the flow would have to be interrupted to clean the element. Twin filtration chambers each rated for 100% capacity and two disk type changeover valves operated by interconnected screwed shafts for simultaneous operation, eliminate any possibility of shutting off the flow.

Dixon Rings
Croft Filters are one of very few Dixon Ring suppliers. Invented by Olaf George Dixon in 1946, Dixon Rings are made of stainless steel mesh material. They come in various sizes: some as small as 1/16".
Historically, the sheer cost of manufacturing these tiny components in any great quantity was a major obstacle. Today, this is no longer the case.
At Croft Filters, we have developed a machine that automates the entire process of making Dixon Rings at high speed. As a result, we can produce Dixon Rings in very high volumes - something we could never have achieved without our employees’ outstanding design skills and manufacturing excellence.

Knitted Wire Mesh
Croft filters are often required to supply products made from Knitted Wire.

The Croft Quick Release Inline Filter is a very popular filter and has a widespread useage in applications within industrial sectors such as Food, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical and Marine amonst many others.
Available in many different fittings makes this arrangement highly desireable as it can be made to fit straight into your existing application with ease.
Providing some flexibility has been allowed upon installation, it is very easy to remove the internal filter disc for cleaning or replacement.

Tee Strainers
Croft Filters supply Tee Strainers, commonly used in a number of industry sectors. These filters can be manufactured from 1" to 24" in either 304 or 316 Stainless Steel and other materials. The baskets can be made from 500 micron up with flanged fittings to suit.
Tee strainers are typically used where space is limited and a strainer is needed for protection of pumps, valves and similar equipment.
Tee strainers normally have either a bolted cover or a quick opening cover for to suit the application.

Perforated Tubes
Croft filters can manufacture perforated tubes and cylinders to custom specifications, essentially to be used in filtration but made for other application purposes too. These can be made from a variety of materials including hastalloy, stainless steel and mild steel.

There are times when a filter needs to be small yet keep a high percentage of open area to stay efficient. One of the ways of achieving this is by using pleated filters.

Leaf Filters
Leaf Filters are high-quality systems that can be used for a multitude of batch and continuous filtration processes. The application has of a number of filter leaves positioned in a horizontal or vertical filter housing. The fluid to be filtered flows through the filter medium which covers both sides of the filter leaf. Restrained solids remain on the filter medium producing a filter cake. Vertical Leaf Filters have a high filtration area versus vessel volume ratio. The pressure leaf filter is typically suitable for fluids with high solid contents.

This improves the flow through the filter and the lifetime of the element. The captured particles are then be ejected from the system without the need to stop the process or change the element, saving on downtime within the system.
