Fall Arrest Eyebolt Inspection
At least once every 12 months each anchor device should be subjected to a periodic examination in accordance with the manufacturers instructions by a competent person. If used for rope access purposes, anchor devices come under the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), which requires an examination period to be every 6 months.
Anchor devices not regularly examined because they are not used on a regular basis should not be used unless they have been inspected within the previous 12 months (or 6 months for rope access purposes).
A suitable label should be provided clearly showing the date of the next inspection & the uses for which the anchor device is intended, e.g. "For Fall Arrest Only", "For Rope Access Only" or "For Work Positioning & Restraint".
CSS Worksafe offer a comprehensive range of removable or fixed eyebolts and single point anchors for use in brick, concrete, masonry, steel, dry lined walls or in conjunction with plasterboard, cladding etc. and also offer inspections of eyebolts and single point anchors.
Harness & Lanyard Inspection Competent Person Training Course
On completion of the training course delegates will be able to identify faults, record their findings and recommend corrective action.
Roof Edge Protection System
Roof edge protection systems provide collective fall protection for people that need to access or work on flat roofs.
When work at height cannot be avoided, collective fall prevention is at the top of the hierarchy of control measures, as set out inthe Work at Height Regulations 2005. Roof edge protection systems provide passive fall protection for all. They require no specialist user training or user action in order to be effective.
CSS Worksafe offers a range of free standing & fixed handrail and guardrail edge protection systems. They are available in galvanised steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
Freestanding handrail and guardrail edge protection systems have a counterweight system. These types of roof edge protection system rely on the counterweight for stability. The counterweight system negates the need for penetration of the roof membrane. They provide quick installation with low ongoing inspection and maintenance requirements.
Freestanding roof edge protection systems can be installed on concrete, PVC membrane, asphalt and felt flat roof surfaces with up to 10 degrees of pitch.
CSS Worksafe offers a complete design and UK wide installation service.
