Cygnus Instruments Ltd is a UK manufacturer of surface and underwater ultrasonic thickness gauges which all use the Cygnus-pioneered Multiple-Echo technique to give accurate, error-checked metal thickness measurements through coatings.

Incorporated within the latest range of ultrasonic thickness gauges is Single-Echo and Echo-Echo measuring modes which allows users to measure uncoated surfaces with heavy front-face and/or back-wall corrosion or measure attenuative materials such as cast metals, plastics and composites.
