Container Conversions
Our containers are built to exacting ISO standards to withstand the rolling seas and high winds whilst transporting goods around the world. Robust steel construction and structural integrity mean our shipping containers are the perfect base for conversion projects and because they are manufactured en masse, shipping containers can be produced relatively cheaply.
Constructed off-site and with minimal on-site requirements, our conversions can be installed quickly and efficiently. They can also be relocated or sold when the need arises.

History
In 1971, David Maddicott founded Dainton Excavators, supplying heavy machinery to the building trade across Devon and the South West.
Our business has grown and adapted to meet the changing needs of our customers. In 1985, we began supplying shipping containers and portable buildings, and in 2003, we opened our first self-storage facility in Heathfield, Devon.
Present Day
As of today, we own and operate 15 self-storage facilities and 7 business parks in the South West of England and South Wales.
Even as we continue to grow, we remain committed to being a family run, customer-focused, and community business. Exceptional customer service, best value, and trust are the cornerstones of our reputation.
Our goal is to anticipate changing customer needs and provide services that make us stand out from the competition.
