Flexible Coving
Fitting coving on curved walls, such as those with bay windows can be a challenge. Some coving materials including wood or MDF can sometimes be bent by prolonged steaming or by making several cuts in the back and gently flexing, but plaster coving is a different matter altogether - it simply won’t bend!
Pre-Cut Corners
Whilst we try to make everything as easy as possible for installation of our coving, we recognise that probably the most difficult aspect is cutting the internal and external coving mitres. Getting the corner cuts right can be a challenging task, especially the first time around − which is why we came up with a solution to make the process that bit easier.

Flexible Cornice
Fitting decorative mouldings on areas such as bay windows and rounded walls can be tricky. However for those challenging curved wall areas, we have come up with a brand new solution - flexible cornice.
Uplighting Cornice
Most types of cornice are installed with the purpose of softening the join between wall and ceiling. However, in recent years, uplighting cornice has become more and more popular, with the advent of low cost, energy efficient LED lighting and TV designer makeover shows.
Uplighter cornice (sometimes known as an uplighting trough) is a decorative moulding fitted on the point where wall and ceiling meets. Lights are placed into the trough to provide directional upwards lighting, which has a unique effect and can really help create an ambient mood in a room.

Contemporary Cornice
Not long ago, there was a trend for decorating in a minimalist style − people simply didn’t want coving or cornice in the traditional sense as it was regarded as being too ornamental or fussy, especially when renovation was undertaken in a modern style. In response to that trend, we have completely re-thought how to decorate a ceiling without it appearing too ‘old school’ in appearance.
The result is our Contemporary range which has probably been the biggest shift in cornice design and also the most acclaimed and approved styling by interior designers and specifiers that we have ever had. Unquestionably this ‘family’ of designs has become our most popular product range since it was introduced.

Dado & Panel Rails
Make flat dull, walls come to life using “wallscaping” with our extensive dado panel mould range. Easily create attractive paneling or frames on walls and ceilings, made even simpler with the pre-formed corners on certain profiles.
All designs are easy to install, and many are available in a flexible format for use on curved walls and ceilings or for creating an artistic ‘wavy’ effect.
We have 2 different ranges − the Axxent profiles which are made from a hard, extruded resin and are pre-primed for painting. These offer the best value for money. The Luxxus range offers a slightly more ‘up-market’ feel, each piece being individually hand pressed in a high pressure mould for maximum sharpness and design detail.
All designs are easy to install, and many are available in a flexible format for use on curved walls and ceilings or for creating an artistic ‘wavy’ effect.

Skirting Boards
Skirting is more than just decoration. It protects the wall, hides cracks and covers the expansion areas of parquet floors. Without skirting boards, the transition from floor to wall looks bare and unfinished and walls can be easily damaged.
Our skirtings are also impact-resistant, waterproof and paintable and many models offer additional advantages: they have cavities to hide cables. And some of our new models can be fitted directly over the top of existing tired-looking or damaged wood skirting boards so there is no need to remove them and risk damaging existing plasterwork.
Many of our skirting boards are now available pre-finished in a high-quality white paint (RAL 9003) which avoids the need to subsequently paint after installation. Another time-saver!

Ceiling Roses / Centres
Ceiling centres, either in a concentric or floral pattern, can really liven up a ceiling by breaking up a large plain surface.
And did you know that ceiling roses can also be installed on a wall as a decorative feature? You can go for repetitive elements for a playful element or combine them with mirror lighting bulbs to add a different, modern wall light effect. There are many possibilities for creative applications other than just a ceiling centrepiece.

External Cornice
Although generally featured on more substantial buildings, DAVUKA external cornices can add distinctive style and elegance to any property. The lightweight nature easily and effectively overcomes the weight restraints posed by heavy stone masonry whilst being able to retain the bold and elaborate designs of traditional buildings.
In addition to our GRP/polymer based options we can also offer maintenance free UV stabilised polypropylene Square Tooth and Scalloped Tooth designs. These are produced in easily installed 4ft lengths, with secret fix via snap on covers. External plus Internal Corners and End Caps allow for straightforward installation.

Coving Art Hanging System
Would you like the ability to ‘invisibly’ hang your photographs, framed artworks, mirrors etc anywhere on a wall and be able to re-position as often as you like? A picture hanging system is a rail (plus hanging wires and locking picture hooks) that is mounted to a wall or ceiling. Since the hanging wires may be inserted into the rail wherever you like, you always have total flexibility in positioning your artwork anywhere on your wall.
If you are installing new or replacement coving or cornice, first fit the Deco Rail onto the wall and then glue the coving directly onto the rail thus hiding it completely from view. You are then free to add your artwork and move up or down, left or right with zero damage to your walls. Alternatively, a standard Contour Rail can be fitted directly underneath the cornice with the same displaying options.

Our external columns are manufactured in a high quality, strong GRP that is a finished product and maintenance free. Back fill with a sand/cement mix if necessary to provide load-bearing capability. Guaranteed for 25 years.
All our columns are available in ‘halves’ if needed to wrap around an existing structural support.

DecoFix Extra (FX200 and FX210) − It is essential to use this adhesive for ALL applications when joining 2 pieces to prevent any shrinkage cracks from appearing in the future. Tip: Use acetone (nail polish remover) to wipe off any excess. Available in a 80ml tube (FX210) for small projects (e.g single room), or 300ml cartridge (FX200) for bigger installation jobs.
MOUNTING / FIXING:
DecoFix Pro (FDP500) for installation projects on established plaster walls/ceiling (min 3 months dry time). This is a water-based adhesive supplied in a 310ml cartridge that fits a standard caulking gun.
DecoFix Power (FDP700) for recently plastered walls/ceilings (within the last 3 months and/or lime-based plaster), humid environments (eg bathrooms/kitchens/swimming pool areas); and any exterior use. This is an MS-Polymer based adhesive that dries white and is paintable. It will adhere to any porous and non-porous material in any environment and is the strongest adhesive available.
