Custom Liquid Level Sensors & Float Switches

At Deeter Electronics, we manufacture bespoke liquid level sensors and float switches according to your specifications, utilising our expertise in liquid level sensor design and manufacture to develop advanced solutions to suit your requirements.

From monitoring levels in storage and buffer tanks to ensuring beverage bottles don’t overflow, liquid level measurement and control is an important application in a variety of industries.

Based on the installation situation, medium properties, and ambient conditions, our portfolio of process instrumentation level sensors will provide you with the right solution for your application.

Between 70 to 80% of all sensors manufactured by Deeter in our UK factory are custom designs. Our extensive experience gleaned over 35 years and our back catalogue of thousands of designs ensures a new custom design can easily be created by our team of engineers. This depth of knowledge, understanding and experience means that in most cases a totally new custom sensor design can be created in 1-2 weeks. The only design costs you bear is that of the technical assembly drawing.

Level Controllers

The Dual Level Controller allows control of the liquid level in a tank between two points and/or an extra control output in the event that the tank over or under fills. The Dual Level Controller (DLC) provides safe low voltage for the level switches which may become submersed and has high power relay contacts to control a pump or a solenoid valve in a gravity fed top-up system.

The DLC-1 provides one relay that can be configured to provide dual level control or just buffer a single float switch or other light duty switching device. The DLC-2 has an additional totally independent relay that can be used for any purpose. For example, a pump can run dry and become damaged if there is a lack of liquid in the tank in a pumped output system. A float switch can be set just above the level where this occurs and the relay contacts of the DLC-2 wired to cut the electrical supply to the pump motor. The DLC-3 offers an IP65 rating in addition to the features of the DLC-2.

Continuous Level Sensor with Integrated Display

The LVCSi is an analogue vertical level sensor with an integrated display meter and output driver specifically designed for continuous, in-situ monitoring of your tank. It is an extension of Deeter Electronics’ range of LVCS analogue level sensors and includes a temperature sensing option.

deeterflow® Liquid Dispensing Systems

The deeterflow® Automatic Liquid Dispenser has an integrated pump to ensure measured volumes of liquid are delivered at the push of a button. Once calibrated and set up the user only has to select volume, press a button and the fluid dispenser delivers the required volume with no further operation.

Volumes between 0.20 litres and 100.00 litres can be selected in increments of 0.01 litres. The pump is self-priming and will provide a constant flow-rate, typically around 3L/min for water depending on the conditions such as the filter, tubing and the height differential between the pump and fluid outlet.

Type nA Non-Sparking 4-20mA Loop Powered Indicators, Field Mounting

These fourth generation Ex nA and Ex tc 4/20mA loop powered indicators have large high contrast displays with a very wide viewing angle. Operating over an extended temperature range they contain many standard features previously only available as options. Extensive thermal, impact and vibration testing provides maximum reliability supported by a three year guarantee.

Type nA Non-Sparking 4-20mA Loop Powered Indicators, Panel Mounting

These loop powered indicators have third party Ex nA and Ex tc certification allowing them to be installed in a Ex n, Ex e, Ex p or Ex t panel enclosure located in Zone 2 or 22 without the need for a barrier or galvanic isolator. They have rugged stainless steel cases and large high contrast displays with a wide viewing angle and can operate over a wide temperature range.

Litz Wire

Litz wire is a type of cable used in electronics to carry alternating current. The wire is designed to reduce the skin effect and proximity effect losses in conductors used at frequencies up to about 1 MHz. It consists of many thin wire strands, individually insulated and twisted or woven together, following one of several carefully prescribed patterns often involving several levels (groups of twisted wires are twisted together, etc.). This winding pattern equalizes the proportion of the overall length over which each strand is at the outside of the conductor.

The term litz wire originates from Litzendraht, German for braided/stranded wire or woven wire.
