Braille Embossed Labels
We have been specialising in the embossing of Braille for over 30 years and have worked hard to source excellent materials and develop seamless processes for use on our embossing machines and achieve a good dot height.
Blister Pack Labels
We can design a layout and provide computer cut samples on the correct material. Once you have these, you can gain approval from the pharmaceutical governing body relevant to the country in which your products will be sold, for example the MHRA for the UK.
We can produce a range of blister pack labels designed to meet any specialist requirements which could include release cuts, perforations or adhesive kill areas.
Blister pack labels can also be provided plain so you can print yourself by thermal transfer, or alternatively, we can print your design for you by flexographic or digital print and supply fully die cut with face cuts to match the push through points of the existing blister pack itself.
Plain Labels
We hold an extensive cutter library which not only enables us to produce your plain labels to the most common sizes, but it likely we will have a cutter for something a bit different too. We can also offer digital die cut labels for pre-production samples where required.
Security & Anti-Counterfeit
Security Labels can include perforations, Tamper Evident Labels can include break seal tabs, which can also have a permanent adhesive and anti-counterfeiting labels can include holographic symbols, making it harder to replicate.
Patient Information Leaflets
We can produce a wide range of bespoke sizes and various folds are available, including an 18mm zig zag fold, which are all available on 60gsm, 70gsm or 80gsm white uncoated paper.
Patient Alert Cards
Small enough for patients to keep with them at all times but big enough to hold vital details, patient alert cards can sometimes be overlooked but could contain life saving information!
Instrument Pouches
Our instrument pouch has been designed with this in mind. Easy open and closure of the pouch means even a gloved hand could access it to remove or return the medical instruments − therefore minimising injury to themselves or anyone else.
Bespoke Products
Our years of experience and reliable supplier network means we can often take your requirement and develop it into an actual solution.
We carry a whole range of different materials from plain white paper to cryogenic polyesters to security materials. All labels can be produced on rolls, sheets, fanfold or as individual labels. A variety of finishes can be applied whether it be a matt varnish, gloss varnish or protective laminate.
Braille Printers
Our years of experience of supplying Braille embossers has enabled us to also ensure that our materials have been carefully selected to give a good dot height to help you comply with the current guidelines whilst maintaining the life of your embosser. Using poor quality materials and setting a high dot-height can either damage your paper or lead to a build-up of paper filaments around the print heads.
Label Associated Products
To aid you with the application of labels to your products, we can also supply desktop dispensers for ease of manual application or fully automated label applicators.
Parallel Import
The MHRA states that the UK parallel import scheme lets a medicine authorized in another EU member state be marketed in the UK, as long as the imported product has no therapeutic difference from the same UK product.
However, in order to do this, you must ensure you have all of the necessary approvals from the MHRA and this can be a laborious task. One of the main courses of action is making certain that all labels, patient information leaflets and packaging for the imported medicine complies with European guidelines; and where necessary, is translated into English and if necessary, one other language.
Maintenance & Support
As well as this, we will also maintain and service the machine and provide support, should you have any problems, whether it is over the phone or by site visit.
User Training
As well as this, we can also offer user training. This will cover how to set the machine up for each job, software training and also some troubleshooting. We even have our own conferencing facilities and so if you wanted to train a large group at the same time, you could travel to us and we can accommodate you and your team.
Stock Management
Serialisation & Traceability
A natural progression of the FMD is more intelligent packaging and labelling within the pharmaceutical sector. One of the most common, effective and easiest ways to book products in and out is to scan them and we have all of the necessary equipment to print QR codes and Barcodes on your labels using variable data.
Special Adhesives
Because of this, the adhesives we use on our labels also need to be adaptable. The most common adhesives used within the Healthcare sector is a permanent adhesive, to ensure that the label, with vital information, remains attached to the packaging. However, we also understand that some medicines need to be kept cool, or in some cases, frozen. For this, we can supply your labels with a deep freeze adhesive.
Coatings
One of the most common is a laminate which not only creates the ultimate protection against marking and scuffing but also makes the label waterproof. We can coat your labels with either a matt clear laminate or a gloss clear laminate, this then enables you to put your label on various products with the guarantee that the information being held on the label will not disappear because our waterproof labels are BS5609 standard compliant and would remain on the product for up to 3 months of continuous immersion in water.
Holographic & Hotfoil
We could even run them through a secondary print to include unique serial numbers required for the Falsified Medicines Directive.
Secondary Printing
As well as this, we can also supply the thermal transfer ribbons for your own printer, allowing you to have your main label printed with any standard, non-variable data, such as branding, addresses, and then you can run your own labels through your printer to print your own variable data − such as patient name, dosages etc
Delivery
We also understand the ‘booking in’ process and can ensure any procedures you may have for the receiving of goods are adhered to.
