Fire Barriers

Fire Barriers

Our cavity fire barriers provide top-tier passive fire protection, stopping fire spread through cavities. Made with intumescent to offer superb protection.

Envirograf fire barriers are designed to protect walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, gaps, voids, assets, and furniture from the devastation of fire.

Manufactured with fire-stopping material, they fit within the cavity of a building at each floor horizontally and party wall in a verticle position. The material provides compartmentation. Both the flames and heat cannot be transferred to other compartmental areas. Throughout the life of the building, the barrier will remain fixed in place. In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands and seals off the gaps. Additionally, the horizontal barriers allow for a ventilation gap within the cavity. Subsequently closing when the intumescent expands.

High expansion intumescent locks against the external side of the internal wall in a fire without affecting the outer wall. Blue plastic sleeve robust enough to prevent damage by water or pests. Under heat the intumescent creates a fire seal, thus providing full fire protection. Cut the seals to any length using the joint sleeve supplied for sealing off the ends.

Specify the overall cavity size and required ventilation gap when ordering.
Rainscreen Cavity Barrier (RSM)

Rainscreen Cavity Barrier (RSM)

Fireproof rainscreen cavity barrier range, especially designed to offer excellent passive fire protection for rainscreen and other types of cladding. Using fireproof sponge instead of mineral wool, this range offers many advatanges:

The barrier is much thinner, additionally offering a better fire rating.
Easy to fix and no masks required.
Fixing brackets already in place, fix with screws, nails, or spit nails.

Made in 1-metre lengths, with 4 fitting brackets for horizontal application or 3 brackets for vertical. Cut with a sharp knife to fit around metalwork. The cover is made from a strong, intumescent-coated material, completely water-resistant.

The RSM range is the same as the RSF, however, the RSF comes with a foiled reinforced covering which is water-resistant.

Depending on the required fire rating, the barrier can have different thickness. Specify the overall cavity size and required ventilation gap when ordering.

Pillows will expand at low pressure, in effect locking together to seal off fire without negatively impacting the integrity of the trunking.

Trunking pillows are designed with a retention tag to attach to trunking for access. They sit tightly inside PVC or metal trunking compressed against wires and cables. Also designed with non-fibrous, dust-free material, making them suitable for sterile rooms and hospitals. Suitable for use for cable trunking that house 30-50% wires or cables. Available in a wide range of sizes to fit within most cable trunking compartments.
Intumescent Coating for Steel

Intumescent Coating for Steel

Water-based intumescent coating for the protection of steel and aluminium. Easily applied to surfaces using a brush, roller, or also spray, which creates a smooth finish. Therefore, easily painted over with any good quality paint for decorative purposes.

Unprotected steel can lead to building construction collapsing in a fire.

It can take just a few minutes for unprotected steelwork in a building to attain temperatures of around 550ºC in a fire. At this temperature, steelwork loses its load-bearing capacity and the structure is likely to collapse. Therefore, giving little time for people to evacuate and even less time for the fire service to bring the fire under control.

Throughout the manufacturing process, ENVIROGRAF® passive fire products undergo rigorous quality control to ensure they remain at the forefront of fire containment technology. A high reputation has been earned by the company and its passive fire products, with its operating system accredited to ISO9001.

Considering Every Risk

To prevent loss of life and property from passive fire protection, every risk must be taken into account. Despite being aware of the importance of fire barriers in preventing or delaying the spread of fire, many people do not consider the effects of breaching the fire barrier, possibly to allow electrical wires or other services to pass through. In order to maintain the integrity of fire barriers, whether they are ceilings, floors, roofs, or walls, ENVIROGRAF® intumescent products have been developed.

Choosing Appropriate Passive Fire Products

IN addition to passive fire products, ENVIROGRAF® offers passive fire protection products, such as load-bearing steelwork and fire doors, that protect structures from fire damage and preserve structural integrity. It is crucial to choose the right passive fire products. A seal's fire protection must match that of the barrier it seals. A ceiling rated for 60 minutes of fire protection requires a passive seal rated for 60 minutes to maintain its integrity. Building structural items must be protected by knowing their protection ratings and ensuring they retain their load-bearing capacity in a fire.
