Fire Barriers
Envirograf fire barriers are designed to protect walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, gaps, voids, assets, and furniture from the devastation of fire.
Manufactured with fire-stopping material, they fit within the cavity of a building at each floor horizontally and party wall in a verticle position. The material provides compartmentation. Both the flames and heat cannot be transferred to other compartmental areas. Throughout the life of the building, the barrier will remain fixed in place. In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands and seals off the gaps. Additionally, the horizontal barriers allow for a ventilation gap within the cavity. Subsequently closing when the intumescent expands.

Rainscreen Cavity Barrier (RSM)
The barrier is much thinner, additionally offering a better fire rating.
Easy to fix and no masks required.
Fixing brackets already in place, fix with screws, nails, or spit nails.
Made in 1-metre lengths, with 4 fitting brackets for horizontal application or 3 brackets for vertical. Cut with a sharp knife to fit around metalwork. The cover is made from a strong, intumescent-coated material, completely water-resistant.
The RSM range is the same as the RSF, however, the RSF comes with a foiled reinforced covering which is water-resistant.
Depending on the required fire rating, the barrier can have different thickness. Specify the overall cavity size and required ventilation gap when ordering.

Fire Protection Gaskets for Metal Boxes

Provides up to 4 hours of fire protection for electrical sockets fitted into dry lining walls.

Cable & Pipe Intumescent Discs
Features a double-sided adhesive backing to adhere onto walls as well as other surfaces for ease of application. For application, remove the yellow strip to expose the adhesive and place onto surface. Cable discs are available in sizes up to 90mm for services up to 55mm. Each box has a quantity of 12 discs, allowing old discs to be replaced where required. There are no harmful substances used during their manufacturing, making it a suitable product for all types of rooms.

Intumescent Trunking Pillows
Trunking pillows are designed with a retention tag to attach to trunking for access. They sit tightly inside PVC or metal trunking compressed against wires and cables. Also designed with non-fibrous, dust-free material, making them suitable for sterile rooms and hospitals. Suitable for use for cable trunking that house 30-50% wires or cables. Available in a wide range of sizes to fit within most cable trunking compartments.

Intumescent Coating for Steel
Unprotected steel can lead to building construction collapsing in a fire.
It can take just a few minutes for unprotected steelwork in a building to attain temperatures of around 550ºC in a fire. At this temperature, steelwork loses its load-bearing capacity and the structure is likely to collapse. Therefore, giving little time for people to evacuate and even less time for the fire service to bring the fire under control.

Intumescent Paint for Wood (HW System)
All types of new and old doors, some over 200 years old have undergone testing. All tested in accordance with BS476 part 22 (1987) and their fire resistance was upgraded to an integrity of over 60 minutes. The HW range can also upgrade wood panelling to 30 minutes or 60 minutes fire rating, according to the type of wood and its thickness. Open joists and floorboards have achieved 60 minutes of fire protection on a loaded floor to BS476 Part 20 (1987). Timber mouldings and carcasses have achieved 90 minutes of fire rating to BS476 Part 20 (1987). A range of timber types, including MDF and plywood underwent testing and complied with BS476 parts 6 and 7 (1987) Classes 0 and 1.

Fire Resistant Coating for Lath & Plaster

Intumescent Acrylic & Acoustic Mastic
Intumescent acrylic and acoustic mastic is a powerful, fire-resistant filler and sealant. Therefore providing a permanent flexible seal against fire, smoke, and toxic fumes. Ideal for use either horizontally or vertically around door frames, cable trays, ducting, and partitions. Additionally, a new acoustic acrylic mastic version is available for non-fire-rated areas.

Intumescent Material & Panelled Door Upgrade Kits
If the edge of the door is 30mm or more and the thickness of the panel is 9mm or more then these panelled doors can be upgraded with our Product 42 intumescent paint for timber, Clear or White system.
If the panels are less than 9mm then you will have to use our card or veneered intumescent sheet material. For advice call us on 01304 842 555.
If the edge of the door is 30mm or more and the panel is 8mm or less, then apply to the room side only.
The intumescent card, ply and veneer all underwent a fire resistance test employing general procedures and criteria. Fully tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987) on newly manufactured and old doors at UKAS-approved test centres. EN 1634-1:2000 & EN13501-2:2007 achieving 68 minutes integrity and 57 insulation.

Surface Mounted Intumescent Fire & Fire / Smoke Seals
The surface-mounted seals have been successfully used for over 25 years.

Fire Protection Sleeves to Protect Cables, Pipes & Trunking
In the case of a fire, the intumescent material will expand, thus sealing the pipe at either end and preventing firespread. They also absorb heat to help prevent services, pipes, and cables from overheating. Highly flexible, moisture resistant and feature acoustic properties.
See the order reference tab for all available sizes.

MG Intumescent Grilles (Slotted)
The grilles are suitable for operational theatres, sterile areas, and food preparation spaces, providing effective passive fire protection. An option to include a thermal breaker is available. Once the grille reaches 70oC the link breaks and the inner intumescent plate drops, sealing the grille. Fires will become compartmentalized to prevent the spread of smoke and flames, preserving building structures and allowing safe time for occupants to evacuate.

LVML Intumescent Ring for Pipes
In effect, the intumescent will expand under heat to seal off the pipe, thus preventing fire spread. The intumescent liner provides a 1-hour fire rating, able to compartmentalise fires to prevent spreading into different areas of a building. By slowing the spread of fires, occupants are able to safely escape homes and buildings via a fire escape route. Occupants are then able to contact fire rescue services to safely extinguish fires before they spread.

Fire & Smoke Drop Curtain (Automatic/Manual Reset)
Please contact our technical team for any further enquiries relating to the application or specification of this product.

Intumescent Glazing Strips
The strips fit to beads on each side of the fire-rated glazing. Although the seal is 2mm thick, it will compress to 0.5mm while not affecting its performance. For 30 minutes glazing 10mm or 15mm fix the beads with 36mm panel pins at 200mm centres. For 60 minute glazing 20 − 25mm beads using 60mm No8 CS steel screws at 200mm centres to fix. Grip the self-adhesive backing strip and separate the protective paper from the adhesive. Pull along for a few centimetres to expose the adhesive surface ready for adhering onto the glazing beads. Attach the intumescent strip to the face of the bead, peeling away additional backing paper as necessary. Fix beads in place with the glazing strips towards the glass.

Considering Every Risk
To prevent loss of life and property from passive fire protection, every risk must be taken into account. Despite being aware of the importance of fire barriers in preventing or delaying the spread of fire, many people do not consider the effects of breaching the fire barrier, possibly to allow electrical wires or other services to pass through. In order to maintain the integrity of fire barriers, whether they are ceilings, floors, roofs, or walls, ENVIROGRAF® intumescent products have been developed.
Choosing Appropriate Passive Fire Products
IN addition to passive fire products, ENVIROGRAF® offers passive fire protection products, such as load-bearing steelwork and fire doors, that protect structures from fire damage and preserve structural integrity. It is crucial to choose the right passive fire products. A seal's fire protection must match that of the barrier it seals. A ceiling rated for 60 minutes of fire protection requires a passive seal rated for 60 minutes to maintain its integrity. Building structural items must be protected by knowing their protection ratings and ensuring they retain their load-bearing capacity in a fire.
