X-Ray Inspection

Euroteck Systems UK Ltd offers Real Time Radiographic inspection of manufactured parts.

Euroteck Systems UK Ltd is an ISO 9001:2008 approved organisation, and our scope of approval includes NDT inspection of product and materials.

Non-ferrous parts and castings, electrical assemblies, automotive components and carbon composites are all examples of parts that are routinely submitted to Euroteck for Real Time Radiography.

X-Ray Cabinets

Euroteck are able to offer larger bespoke cabinets rated up to 225kV. The advantages of these larger X-Ray cabinets are that they are portable. Traditional X-Ray compounds or Radiographic cells are manufactured from a mixture of concrete, lead blocks and steel.

These are permanent structures. If the workflow of the business changes, the existing structure cannot easily be relocated. With the Euroteck designed X-Ray cabinets, these can be easily relocated with a FLT. Simply disconnect from the mains power supply and then reconnect once the X-Ray cabinet has been re-sited. Production down time is therefore kept to an absolute minimum.

Real Time X-Ray

Euroteck offer a complete range of automated real time X-Ray systems from 100KV to 450KV. Multiple axis systems with manual and CNC control for the inspection of Automotive, Aerospace and Electronic components.

Euroteck have been the UK distributor for Bosello for more than 12 years and we have a great deal of experience in helping customers to choose the correct solution for their application.

Computed Radiography

Computed radiography or CR uses similar equipment to conventional radiography with the exception that in place of a traditional X-Ray film, an Imaging Plate (IP) made of photostimulable phosphor is used. The IP is housed in a cassette and placed under the part to be examined and an exposure is made with either X or Gamma radiation. Instead of taking an exposed film into a darkroom for developing in chemical tanks or an automatic film processor, the IP is run through a special laser scanner, or CR scanner, that reads and digitizes the image. The digital image can then be viewed and enhanced using software that has functions very similar to other conventional digital image-processing software, such as contrast, brightness, filtration and zoom.

Computed Tomography

Computed Tomography or CT is a process which utilizes X-Ray equipment to produce 3D representations of components both externally and internally. CT scanning has been utilized in many areas of industry for internal inspection of components such as Aluminium castings to check for porosity. Some of the key uses for CT scanning have been flaw detection, failure analysis, metrology, assembly analysis, and reverse engineering applications. CT scanning is also employed successfully in the imaging and conservation of museum artifacts.

Digital Radiography

Digital Radiography or DR is simply another form of X-Ray imaging. Digital Radiography systems use Flat Panel Detectors − FPD’s. These FPD’s take the place of conventional X-Ray film. This gives advantages over X-ray film as the image is immediately available for preview, and as FPD’s have a wider dynamic range, they are more forgiving for over or under exposure, and less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to that achieved using conventional film radiography.

Constant Potential X-Ray

Euroteck have been an approved systems integrator for Gulmay since 1999, and offer a complete range of high stability, high frequency equipment. These UK manufactured constant potential systems have an enviable reputation for reliability and performance, with the added benefit that UK manufacture means UK support and the possibility for HV repairs in the field.

Portable X-Ray

Euroteck are the exclusive UK and Ireland agents for ICM and are able to offer a complete range of portable X-ray equipment. We are able to supply both directional and panoramic equipment within a large range of kV outputs.

Directional X-Ray outputs range from 10kV to 360kV and Panoramic X-Ray outputs range from 50kV to 360kV. Additionally the ICM CP120B and CP160B bring portable battery powered 120kV/160kV constant potential X-Ray generators to the market.

Film Processors & Chemicals

Euroteck are UK and Ireland distributors of Protec and Dürr NDT X-Ray film processing equipment and chemistry.

Established in 1984, Protec’s success and growth has closely followed the progress in X-Ray technology. For NDT applications, Protec produce the Optimax 2010 NDT, Optimax 2010 NDT Mobile and Compact 2.

Euroteck is the UK Distributor for X-Ray Worx high performance Micro Focus X-Ray Systems.

Microfocus sources are typically used for applications where high resolution X-Ray images are required.

Radiation Monitoring

Euroteck are an approved reseller for Southern Scientific radiation monitoring devices.

Southern Scientific are an international manufacturer and supplier of radiation detection equipment. They develop both installed and handheld systems, with the aim of providing simple but effective solutions to customer’s needs.

X-Ray Film Digitisation

Euroteck are an approved reseller of the Vidar NDTPRO Industrial X-ray Film Digitizer.

The NDTPRO is the first non-medical film digitizer produced by VIDAR.
It introduces a cost-effective scanner to digitize/scan radiographic films, having been specifically designed to meet the most stringent demands of the NDT market. It addresses the unique needs of aerospace, petrochemical and other industrial testing applications.

A.C.R.E. 902

The castings are moved from outside the cabinet to inside inspection position by a rotating, motorised mechanism with two part fixtures placed at 180 degrees. This configuration allows high speed part changing with a speed of approx. 7 seconds, thereby reducing the overall cycle time considerably. The A.C.R.E 902 allows for fast, continuous cycle inspections and it is optimised to work in an automatic production line interfaced with an external robot. Adequate safety devices permit also manual loading/unloading operations. The fixtures can be removed and changed in a few minutes without using any tools, this makes the A.C.R.E 902 very flexible to use with different types of castings.

SRE M@X

X-Ray shielded cabinet complies with Italian regulation (DPR 257/2001) and the strictest international regulations for fully shielded radiation devices. The cabinet is completely self-contained. Manufactured in steel with complete lead shielding. The cabinet can be transported by fork-lift. The cabinet does not require any further shielding and can be located safely in any workplace area.
The cabinet is designed with a large double sliding doors for casting loading with two lead/glass inspection window. High speed doors movement controlled by inverter with ramps up and down. Safety light curtain on the loading door.

We have many years’ experience working in NDT service positions, unlike many companies that grow from a sales background and only later add after-sales, service and engineering capabilities. At Euroteck we decided right from the beginning, that a high quality after-sales capability would be critical to winning new business. Our prime directive has always been that we will not sell what we cannot support.

Our factory in Tamworth, in the Midlands is based centrally within the UK, close to the motorway network and two international airports guaranteeing that our Field Service Engineers are able to respond to emergency breakdowns in the shortest possible time, reaching the majority of our clients within a few hours. We also hold extensive spares of most critical items so that we can easily arrange to exchange defective parts to get our customers up and running again quickly.

ISO accredited since 2003, Euroteck Systems are one of a very small number of NDT Service companies who hold this prestigious accreditation. Our scope of accreditation covers component inspection using various X-Ray technologies in addition to our activities in the supply, maintenance and calibration of NDT equipment.
