Tier-on-Tier shutters are a very popular style for sash windows. They look very similar to full height when closed but give the versatility of being able to fully open the top independently from the bottom, giving a café style look when opened.

Cafe Style Shutters
Cafe Style Shutters are used mainly for privacy and great for urban areas where you may have a window on a busy street. As the top part is uncovered, they let in more light, but do not offer as many benefits with regards to noise reduction and insulation. Often windows are also dressed with curtains giving an elegant traditional style.

Bay Window Shutters
Any height, any shape, any angle. Shutters are by far the best window dressing for a bay window. Offering an unrivaled versatility to any other option, coupled with the ability to have them Full Height, Tier-on-Tier or Café Style. With all our bay window shutters we utilise fully mitred posts to the exact angles of your window, showing your bay off rather than hiding it behind curtains or blinds.

Track Shutters
Perfect for room dividers, wardrobes, patio & bi-fold doors. Tracked Shutters can be in a bi-fold system where they fold back along the track together. Or a bi-pass layout where they slide in front or behind of each other. Great for large window areas to create privacy.

Blackout Shutters
Perfect for shift workers, kids rooms or light sleepers. With our Blackout option we use a special frame type and add an integrated blackout blind giving one of the best blackout solutions available. Our Blackout blinds are available in 15 colours and as they are a cellular blind increase the insulation drastically. With the blind down and louvres open they give a great stylish hint of colour through the louvres but to keep up appearances the street side of the blind is a light neutral colour.

Special Shape Shutters
Often feature windows can be difficult to dress. However as Plantation Shutters are a truly bespoke item they can be manufactured to almost any opening. From circular portholes, arched or oval to hexagonal, angled and triangular any shape window can be dressed with wooden shutters.

Portchester Security Shutters
Combining high security with the elegance of plantation shutters. A fantastic alternative to roller shutters, security grilles or burglar bars. The Portchester Aluminium Shutter range is great for holiday homes, patio doors or even just for peace of mind. Both the frames and panels are manufactured from a robust aluminium, then powder coated in your choice of 3 standard colours. To give full security the shutters use a tamper proof key lock which operates top and bottom bolts into the frame.

A common misconception with shutters is that they will block light out of your room, this is where colour choice can be important. A very popular choice is to use one of our shades of white, letting the shutter louvres pull light into the room.
It’s not all about the white though, we have a range of 23 painted colours and a further 27 stain options. If that wasn’t already enough, we also have a custom colour option. With this we can match most brand name paint colours, or even match a bespoke colour of your choice.

Tilt-Rods
For operating your shutters you can choose from our 2 options of the traditional style including a wooden tilt rod either centrally placed or offset to the left/right.
Or the more modern choice of our Silent Tilt option, without any bars at all, giving a stylish elegance to the shutters.

Visage Blinds
Visage Blinds are a beautiful modern option. Using two layers of soft fabric interconnected with horizontal sheer “S” shaped vanes, that filter out the sunlight. Visage gives a very similar operation to a wooden venetian blind only with beautiful fabric. The visage blind can be fully closed giving a calm ambient light, tilted to allow some privacy and still have a view, or fully open out of your way.
