Dry Riser Installation
Dry risers come in all shapes and sizes, but are generally required in buildings above 18 metres in height or if the fire brigade access is severely restricted.
Each dry riser can be no more than 45 metres apart or 60 metres if your building has sprinklers installed. If your building currently has a sprinkler system you still require a dry or wet riser. The inlet breaching valves should be no more than 18 metres from closest fire brigade access point with the closest outlet no more than 45 metres from closest fire brigade access point (where the fire brigade would park their appliance in a emergency).
