Classic 300 Sash Window

This is a window manufactured as it has been for over 300 years, but having incorporated all the up to date technology, by way of seals and use of Double Glazed Units.
To comply with Scottish building regulation, the window can have the simplex system fitted, which allows the bottom sash to open inwards, for cleaning purposes.
The window can have traditional Glazing Bars (36mm) incorporating individual Double Glazed Units. Alternatively, they can be supplied with astragals (24mm) bonded to the Double Glazed Units, within the Double Glazed Units there would be an ‘authentic’ grille so as to replicate individual units.
These windows are also available in a ‘SLIMLINE’ double glazed unit version to help with conservation projects.

Traditional 300 Sash Windows

These are the sliding traditional sash windows manufactured in both Softwood and Hardwood, the sashes are hung on traditional lead weights, and are rebated for single glazing.
Glazing can be either putty pointed or secured by beads. The window has the benefit of being fully draught sealed.

Standard Mock Sash Windows

The standard Mock sash window is a top opener over fixed pane. It is basically a traditional stormproof casement but with sash stiles left long and shaped in order to imitate the horn below the bottom rail of the top sash. The sash is hung on solid brass or zinc plated hinges and operates with a traditional casement stay.

Superior Mock Sash Windows

The Superior Mock Sash Windows are a top opener over fixed pane, but with similar traditional sections as would be supplied with a Vertical Straight Slider.
The bottom section has a dummy sash (fixed), the top opens outwards on stainless steel friction stays and is secured by a traditional locking casement fastener.

Straight Slider Sash Windows

The vertical straight slider sash windows have been made for the last 300 years or more. In this window however we have two modifications. Firstly, the sashes are operated by spring balances, and secondly, we have applied up-to-date technology and design to the seals.
The sashes are secured with a fitch fastener.
These windows are also available in a ‘SLIMLINE’ double glazed unit version to help with conservation projects.

Slide & Tilt Sash Windows

The Slide & Tilt window is the same as a vertical straight slider but with tilt-in facility, primarily for cleaning purposes. This is manufactured with spring balances, operating within an aluminium channel. The sashes are secured by a fitch fastener.
Traditional horns cannot be an integral part of the sashes as they would impede the operational function of this window. We can however attach dummy horns, albeit, slightly inboard to their normal position.

Vari-Vent Sash Windows

This is a window which we have designed and developed ourselves, and to our knowledge we are the only company in the world that manufactures this window.
Primarily it looks like a vertical straight slider but for ease of use and to obtain maximum ventilation, the top sash opens outwards on stainless steel friction stays and the bottom slides vertically and tilts inwards.
The bottom sash is fitted with two 100mm slide bolts, so that the bottom sash can be secured whilst the top sash is open. When completely closed, the sashes are secured by a locking casement fastener.

Flush Sash − Pegstay

The Flush Sash Pegstay Casement windows can be manufactured in unlimited styles and designs. Locking is provided by means of casement stays & fasteners.

Flush Sash − Shootbolt

The Flush Sash Shootbolt Casement windows can be manufactured in unlimited styles and designs. Locking is provided by means of TROJAN shootbolt locking mechanism.

Stormproof − Pegstay Casement Windows

The Stormproof Pegstay Casement windows can be manufactured in unlimited styles and designs. Locking is provided by means of casement stays & fasteners.

Stormproof − Shootbolt Casement Windows

The Stormproof Shootbolt Casement windows can be manufactured in unlimited styles and designs.
Locking is provided by means of TROJAN shootbolt locking mechanism.

Tilt & Turn

The Tilt & Turn Casement windows are a great concept which allows cleaning to be undertaken from inside the property by opening the sash inwards. This is beneficial in hard to reach areas, for example, above a conservatory roof or in medium / high rise apartments.
There is also a ‘Tilt’ facility which allows ventilation in a safe manner without having the sash fully opened. This window can be manufactured in unlimited styles and designs.

Fully Reversible Casement Windows

The Fully Reversible Casement windows are a great concept which allows cleaning to be undertaken from inside the property. This is beneficial in hard to reach areas, for example, above a conservatory roof or in medium / high rise apartments.
This window can be manufactured in unlimited styles and designs.

Timber Entrance Doors & French Doors

Hand-made in our factory in Cheshire.
Glyngary offer you a full range of timber entrance doors & french doors, with fanlights, side-screens, arched heads / semi-circular / gothic heads etc.
The designs and style combinations are endless, and we can work to bespoke specifications to create entrance doors and french doors of any design in many varieties of different woods.

Bi-Folding Doors

We manufacture timber bi-folding doors to any configuration and any size. Our timber doors are pre-finished using spray applied microporous paints in any colour, or a choice of over 70 different stain combinations, to suit any building or architecture.
Over recent years we’ve witnessed a steady increase in demand over the more traditional French or sliding patio doors. Hardly surprising, as bifolds are very stylish and when fully ajar offer approximately 90 percent clear opening for easy access.
Having invested considerable time and effort perfecting the optimum gearing system for our new range, we’re confident that they meet the high standards of performance and versatility our customers have grown to expect from Glyngary. Choose from a variety of timbers which can incorporate DGU’s or veneered door panels (internal use only), or indeed can be RAL colour matched to customers requirements.

Gates of Distinction

We manufacture timber gates to any design, using a wide range of timbers, which can also include ‘Green Oak’. We also supply posts, rails & railings to match.
Most of these products are supplied ‘untreated’ for you to apply and finish to your requirement, ie:, paint, stains, preservatives, Danish oil.
Being a joinery manufacturer rather than a fencing contractor we are in the enviable position that we can, in addition to supplying the gates, supply the matching garage doors, entrance doors, windows and porches, bringing the whole scheme together and giving any property kerb appeal. We produce all sizes and style of wooden gates, and bespoke designs are not a problem.

Moralt Doorsets

Introducing a range of German engineered external doors with outstanding performance, including PAS24 security, high levels of sound and thermal insulation and great fire resistance qualities.
Moralt doors incorporate a patented steel stabiliser, resulting in an ultra-stable door, carrying a 10 year warranty if the door bows by more than 4mm.
High levels of rigourous testing have been performed with an unrivalled amount of certification and test results achieved, to meet the very highest demands.
Combined with very high specification locks, hinges and hardware, Glyngary use their joinery techniques to make the products bespoke, offering a complete design service, so any desire can be achieved.
The doors are available pre-finished in any Farrow & Ball, RAL or BS solid paint colour, or in a wide range of translucent stain (oak, mahogany etc).

Rehau Heritage S719 PVC Sliding Sash Windows

Hand-made in our factory in Cheshire.
The Rehau S719 Heritage sash window is in our opinion the most authentic PVC sash window available, and it is for this reason that we have chosen it to complement our timber range.
Due to Rehau’s attention to detail, we believe the Rehau Heritage sliding sash window replicates the timber sliding sash window better than any other PVCu window on the market.
They look perfectly at home in any building. Any property utilising the Rehau range is enhanced by the windows, rather than cheapened, as many PVCu windows tend to.
