Helium Mass Spectrometers
HTP can offer a range of Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detectors (MSLDs) for sale. As an independent company HTP is well placed to offer the best leak detector for any application and give impartial advice to ensure a successful leak test solution is provided and maintained.

Gas Specific Leak Detectors
Helium is ideal as a leak test gas due to the small molecule and its rarity in atmospheric air, however other gases can still be adequately detected in atmosphere or vacuum to an acceptable sensitivity for many industrial applications.
Most Gas Specific leak detectors will use an electronic sensor or a similar element which responds to the gas compare the sensors response to the gas sample to its response to atmospheric air highlighting and responding to any difference.
It's important to maintain a clear stable background when using gas specific detectors and if this is not possible the sensitivity can be reduced.

Refrigerant Handheld Detectors
As the first accurate, reliable, highly sensitive, cordless refrigerant leak detector, the original D-TEK revolutionized the field. Now we have built on that technology leadership to create D-TEK Select Refrigerant Leak Detector. This next-generation refrigerant leak detector uses an innovative infrared absorption sensing cell that is extremely sensitive to all refrigerants−and only refrigerants.
D-TEK Select Refrigerant Leak Detector maintains that sensitivity over time for consistent, accurate and reliable performance, even with the newer refrigerant blends. Best of all, the sensing cell lasts for approximately 1,000 hours−almost 10 times longer than the original D-TEK sensor−to lower your cost of ownership and improve job site productivity.

Pressure or Vacuum Decay
Pressure or vacuum decay can deliver good results for coarse leak testing of batch products and assemblies. It’s important to consider the variable and technical parameters and arrange the test process in a way to ensure best possible accuracy and repeatability
HT Products Ltd. can also provide certificated test piece or a reference standard to calibrate the equipment before batch testing.
Data and batch recording facilities are also available.
Please contact or email HTP to discuss your requirement or to arrange a technical consultation.

LV-100Q - Standard Reference Leak Quartz Glass Permeation For Helium MSLD Calibration
Quartz Glass permeation reference leaks are specified in many leak detection standards and procedures. Quartz Glass Permeation Leak Standards.
1) St/St Construction for long service life.
Quartz glass reference leaks are very fragile and can be susceptible to damage if handled incorrectly. If damaged the reference leaks are costly to replace and difficult to repair. Stainless Steel components are used to provide maximum protection but careful handling is critical at all times.

LV-100R Variable Vacuum Reference Leak
The LV-100R Variable Vacuum Reference Leak is suitable for calibrations and experiments requiring a range of flow rates to be delivered into a vacuum system. This would normally be recommended for flow rates of below 5x10-6mbl/s depending on the gas.
The reference leak has a 100cc reservoir to give a long contents life with a recharge facility available. The product is supplied with a graph of reservoir pressures to allow adjustment of the reservoir pressure to deliver a range of flow rates.

LV-400R - Refillable Vacuum Reference Leak
The reference leak has a 400cc reservoir to give a long contents life with a recharge facility available. The product is supplied with a graph of reservoir pressures to allow adjustment of the reservoir pressure to Stainless Steel Reservoir - In which is contained the calibration gas, typically Helium,Argon, Nitrogen, Hydrogen or a special calibration mix at a maximum of 16 Bar.
Vacuum Sintered Leak - The Leak forms part of the valve seating which minimises the gas held in the aperture behind the valve. Therefore when the valve is opened under vacuum the change in the system’s total pressure is barely perceptible.

LS-4 Multi-Gas
The Multi-Gas LS-4 provides a useful reference against which an engineer can check the sensitivity of their leak detector at regular intervals during a leak detection job. This can help to quickly identify battery or sensor problems which can affect the performance of the detector.
When fitted to the outlet of a bulk refrigerant supply the Multi-Gas LS-4 will produce aflow of refrigerant at 5g/Yr. If a leak detector responds to the Multi-Gas LS-4 output then it can be considered sensitive enough for use under current F-Gas regulations(EN-14624).
The LS-4 is made from a stainless steel sinter leak element in a stainless steel bodyand a brass 1/4” SAE flare nut for easy use with standard refrigeration equipment.

LS-RC
The format of the LS-R also allows for a greater level of accuracy to be achieved when defining and constructing the leak element and as such leak rates below 5g/Yr for any refrigerant are possible, HT Products can also provide an optional certificate of calibration for the product which can be referenced in the F-Gas records kept by companies in accordance with current legislation.

LV-CF100R - ‘Zero Volume’ Leak Valve
Included in the range of Calibrated Reference Leaks applicable to high vacuum systems is the CF ‘Zero Volume’ leak valve. A compact valve product for low volume gas introduction into UHV systems at a calibrated flow rate.
- Standard Con-Flat Leak Valve for high vacuum gas inlet applications.
- Wide range of flow rates, gases and inlet fittings available.
- Options for actuators and control methods also available.

LV-ZV
Designed for calibrating quadrupole mass spectrometer gas analysers and vacuum inlet systems, the leak consists of the following:
75cc Stainless Steel Reservoir - In which is contained the calibration gas, typically 1000 p.p.m of Helium, Krypton and Xenon in Argon at 20 Bar.
Purpose Built High-Vacuum Valve - An air operated valve to isolate the gas supply. The valve is attached to the vacuum system via a DN16-CF-R coupling.

Repair
- Inspection and Verification Service
- Performance testing, performance and repair reports
- Conversion of reference leaks to different technologies
- Modification of reference leak flow rates of operating conditions.
- Expansion and upgrading of reference leak products and systems.

Bespoke Reference Leaks
The leak element in HTP's products consists of a stainless-steel sinter contained in a stainless-steel body with the following key features...
- Can operate at high pressure differentials
- Has a fast response and recovery time
- Has a low temperature coefficient
- Bakeable to high temperatures
- Will operate for all gases including gas mixes.

Reference Leak Technology
A calibrated reference leak should provide a stable, accurate reference for a leak detector or be tested and adjusted to give a greater level of accuracy. There are several methods producing the flow rate required. Each application has it’s own demands and the production method for the reference leak should be considered when deciding on a specification.
HT Products Ltd. Is an expert manufacturer of calibrated reference leaks and our technicians have considerable expertise in the calibration and maintenance of reference leaks of all types.
