Door Colours

The style and particularly the colour of your door is one area where you can personalise your door which is why we offer a choice of 13 external colours white, black, blue, red, green, oak, dark wood, grey, cream, chartwell green, black-brown, duck egg blue, poppy red which can be detailed to either match or contrast with your choice of door frame to give you the option to design your door the way that you want it to look.

Frame Colours

What can compliment your choice of door better than a contrasting colour of frame, we do our very best to give you all of the options you would want to match or contrast from with 9 external frame colours white, mahogany, cherrywood, oak, white grain, brown−black, grey, cream and chartwell green.
All of our door frames are co-ordinated with threshold, door drip and edges which combine together to make a truly striking appearance.

Fab & Fix

All of our doors are fitted with the The Fab & Fix ‘Hardex’ range as standard, an elegant and conventionally styled furniture range which is in a choice of chrome, gold or black electro colour finishes which are applied to every part of the hardware to provide an extremely resilient finish. The range includes everything that is required to furnish your door, not only handles but also the 2D adjustable flag hinge and the Horizon multi point door lock operated by a UAP cylinder and complete with cylinder guard and letter plates, knockers and numerals.

Stainless Steel

The latest evolution in door furniture is stainless steel external door furniture manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel which comes with a 10 year anti corrosion guarantee. Our new stainless hardware styles include polished gold and chrome finishes on handles, letter plates, knockers and numerals.
All of our new range of hardware has been tested to the most stringent of standards the lever/lever and lever/pad handles to 50,000 cycles and the letter plate which opens to 180 degrees is tested to 100,000 operations to ensure that it will operate successfully for its entire life cycle.

Yale

One of the most secure cylinders on the market. Its anti-bump, anti-snap, drill, pick, tamper, torque and force resistant. It will withstand attempts to saw, wrench, corrode or even burn it out − in fact it can resist anything the most determined burglar can throw at it. It is still all of that, except now it’s branded with the Yale name and we’re sending it with 5 keys − as standard.

Winkhaus

Winkhaus has 150 years’ experience in producing locking systems for the world market. Approved by the British Police “Secured by Design” (SBD) initiative, with lock faceplates stamped with the SBD logo. Renowned for its durability this German, superbly engineered lock has been a popular choice in the new build and social housing markets for many years.

Era Vectis

With a traditional mortice key the door doesn’t need a euro cylinder because the key engages directly with the multi-point lock. No cylinder means no risk of the door being opened by a burglar snapping, bumping or manipulating the cylinder. The lock edge of the door is then completely wrapped in a 3mm powder coated aluminum strip, top to bottom and front to back creating a seamless single finish.

Slam Lock

In the past the hooks on doors with multipoint locks engage by having to lift the handle. With Slam Lock the hooks engage the moment the door is closed. Using the Winkhaus AV2 system, this option gives your customer the peace of mind that if the door is closed, the hooks are engaged. To bolt the door from the inside the homeowner simply turns the key. From the outside the handle is fixed and the door hooks open by turning the key.

Glass Options

With forty plus options in our glass range we have something for everyone, the majority of our options are included within the price of your door. The coloured, etched and leaded which truly are a work of glass art come at a small premium cost. Who could resist “English rose” or “Zinc art” it’s never an easy choice as these are the small items that truly personalise your new door. A small premium, yes, but when you see them on your new door we are sure that you will consider it a worthwhile expenditure.

GRP Glass Reinforced Plastic

Doors that do not need regular painting but still give guaranteed weather protection that’s what you get when you purchase our composite doors; doors that are clad with 2mm glass reinforced plastic skins, which are securely bonded to the door core. This not only gives more strength to the door to resist warp, twist etc but more importantly a door that is impervious to water which is only to be expected as GRP is now a standard material for the construction of all kinds of marine craft.

Colour Guaranteed

Where other products UPVC etc and even traditional paint finishes are prone to fading or discolouration, GRP has no such problems. The colour does not fade, all that is required to maintain your door in showroom condition is a wipe with a damp cloth.

Timber Grain

As GRP is a moulded product it can be given a surface textured finish which mimics that of a typical grained timber door so your new composite door can look like a traditional timber door but unlike timber doors it has the added benefit that it will not rot or decay over time.
With a choice of seven through coloured external finishes all available as timber grained options there is something in our range to suit every taste.

Yale Conexis

Conventional key locks are no longer the preference when it comes to the selection of door security. The use of electric security systems is now commonplace and we are pleased to offer the Yale Conexis as an alternative on all of our composite doors. All Yale security door systems are Police approved and accredited by Secured by Design which is recognised by many UK insurance companies and can lead to a reduction in your home insurance premiums.

Eco/Energy Efficiency

A thermally efficient door is essential to your home, as this is one of the most common areas for heat loss. With our doors we try to ensure that your new composite door is as efficient as possible starting with the foam core added to this the option to include a thermal glass upgrade. This deflects cold air better than the standard where argon gas is used between the glass panes and warm edge spacer bars to seal the units. The thermal glass upgrade is available on the vast majority of our glass designs.
We are committed to Eco efficiency and with every door we sell we provide a copy of the appropriate BFRC energy certificate as proof of your doors thermal efficiency.

Police Approved Security

Why do you need it and what does it mean? Regrettably statistics show that when it comes to burglaries here in the UK, front doors are unfortunately the main source of access. Therefore, they need to be made as secure as possible. A Secured by Design upgrade meets their national standard for safer homes. It’s not only Police-approved − it’s recognised by many insurance companies, so what do you get for this standard?

The Range

Composite doors have the benefit that the core slab of the door provides a template which can be modelled with openings of any size or shape; therefore it is possible to reproduce any pattern of door.
