Metal Plate Lifters
Kilner Vacuumation offer a wide range of vacuum lifting equipment for lifting metal plate and sheet. We manufacture vacuum lifting beams for use in the laser, plasma & water-jet cutting sectors, as well as heavy duty plate and slab lifters used in steel & aluminium production. We can provide plate vacuum lifting equipment up to 25 Tonnes capacity and above.
Glass Lifting
Kilner Vacuumation have been manufacturing glass vacuum lifters since 1964. We manufacture glass vacuum lifters for use in many industries such as glazing, construction, automotive and transport. We produce safe, high quality, reliable vacuum lifters for handling all type of glass, thick, thin, double glazed units and patterned glass. All our glass vacuum lifts are fitted with safety systems designed and manufactured to meet or exceed BS EN 13155:2003 +A2 2009. Training and servicing can also be provided for all makes of lifter.
Concrete Lifting
We can provide concrete vacuum lifters for any application, slabs, 'L' shaped wall units, curved tunnel segments pipe and GRC sections. Concrete vacuum lifters come in the following specifications:-

Manual Handling
Take the strain out of manual handling using the KV Liftmate range of vacuum tube lifters. Designed and manufactured in the UK by Kilner Vacuumation, these models have been evolved for a wide range of applications such as sacks, boxes, coils, computers, boards and much more. We also manufacture vacuum lifting equipment that can be used with traditional hoists and pneumatic lifters and balancers.
Coil & Reel Lifting
Kilner Vacuumation coil and reel lifters can be used for many different materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, copper & paper. Equipment can be designed for lifting narrow or deep coil widths.
Panel & Board Lifting
We manufacture panel and board lifters of all sizes. Materials such as plywood, chipboard, cladding and glass reinforced plastics can all be handled safely using our products. Kilner panel & board vacuum lifting equipment is widely used in the manufacture of refrigerated vehicles, modular & portable buildings, rolling stock & general wood working.
Fork Truck Attachments
Fork Mounted Vacuum Lifting Attachments - Vacuum lifting attachments for fork lift trucks, reach & pedestrian fork loaders are available for sheet and plates, concrete slabs, drums and many other types of load.
Vacuum Grippers
The lifting of layers of objects such as boxes glasses and jars can be effectively achieved by the use of vacuum gripper plates. VUSS vacuum grippers utilize a revolutionary, patented valve system which applies suction only to the required areas. The self closing valves operate automatically without the need for electric signalling or programing making them easy to integrate into any production line.

In addition to equipment shown in our main product area, we have produced many specials and bespoke designs. We are unable to show all our work on the site, these are just a few examples. The photos below show a mobile portable vacuum lifter, a vacuum pump unit, turbine blade vacuum lifting device and a stone slab vacuum lifter.
Custom Design
If you have an application which is unusual or specialised we may still be able to offer a solution. Many of the products we sell today evolved from specials. If you know what you need but can't buy it or think you might be able to solve a problem with vacuum lifting then look no further. Our engineers will analyse your vacuum lifting requirements step by step. Our evaluation will consider safety, operator ergonomics, reliability and maintenance together with all other relevant criteria. Our final design offer will be based on our extensive successful experience in solving materials handling problems.
Servicing
An integral part of our business is after-sales support. We offer inspections, servicing and maintenance of all makes of vacuum lifting equipment, either on site or on a return to factory basis. Our inspections comprise a comprehensive list of checks to ensure safe ongoing operation of your equipment. Our findings are documented and copies provided for your records.
Training
The instruction and training of operators in safe use of vacuum lifting equipment is as important as the design integrity of our products therefore we provide free training for all new equipment if this can be carried out on the day of installation. Alternatively this can be arranged for a specific date to suit your needs. We can provide training for most makes of vacuum lifter, which can be carried out at your workplace, construction site or at our premises in Dronfield.
