GHS Warning Labels
GHS stands for Globally Harmonised System, and this system is the international standard for chemical labelling. GHS was created by the United Nations to ensure that dangerous chemicals would be labelled in the same way all over the world, and it now supercedes other EU classification standards, so it is important to ensure that any chemical labels you purchase are compliant with GHS regulations.
We sell GHS-compliant labels for the following hazards:
Explosive chemicals
Flammable chemicals
Corrosive chemicals
Toxic chemicals
Environmental hazards
Pressurised gases
Irritant/harmful substances
Our full range of GHS labelling products can be found below.
In addition to the Globally Harmonised System, these labels also comply with CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) Regulations for Chemicals (mixtures and substances). GHS has been implemented in the EU through the CLP Regulation 1272/2008. Our GHS chemical labels are available in a selection of sizes to cater for different packages by capacity.
These red-and-white chemical labels are designed to ensure the health and safety of both your workforce and the general public. Any potentially hazardous chemicals should be properly labelled with the correct GHS hazard symbol to minimise the likelihood of injury and illness.
All of our GHS labels are self-adhesive, allowing you to affix them with ease. A clear polypropylene laminate protects the surface of each label without compromising its visibility. We also sell blank GHS labels for thermal and laser printers, as well as an official GHS classification sign for informational purposes.
Write & Seal Labels
Label Source supply a wide range of standard design write and seal labels. These labels are alternately known as self laminating labels, write and mark labels, or flap labels.
These write and seal stickers consist of a two part construction. A print receptive base substrate material, such as self adhesive vinyl, has a part attached clear protective laminate. The laminate has a flap, with a backing release paper. Handwritten information can be added by ball point or marker pens. The flap backing paper is removed, and the clear film seals the total label surface. The self adhesive label or sticker is abrasion or scratch resistant, chemical resistant (including oils and solvents), waterproof and weatherproof. These labels are rub test compliant.
Applications for these labels include PAT and electrical testing, inspection, identification, equipment numbering, maintenance, servicing, pressure testing, product tests, qualty assurance, calibration and safety checks.
Markets for write and seal labels include; electrical inspection; hospitals and medical use; research and development laboratories; defence; marine; aerospace; pharmaceutical; chemical; automotive; and engineering.
Jumbo size write and seal labels for larger equipment are available. Also bespoke self laminating labels can be personalised to customer specification, even in small to medium quantities,

Asbestos Labels, Signs & Tapes
Inhaling asbestos dust and fibres can lead to serious illnesses such as asbestosis, lung cancer, mesothelioma, and pleural plaques. For this reason, it is crucial to isolate and identify any asbestos hazards on your premises; asbestos-related diseases kill a staggering number of individuals every year in the UK alone, and so it is your responsibility to make sure that you do not contribute to any further fatalities.
Our asbestos safety range includes the following products:
Asbestos warning signs
Self-adhesive asbestos labels
Warning tape to cordon off affected areas
Informative safety posters for your workplace
Asbestos tags for hazardous goods
Asbestos guidelines can be found in The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012; these regulations cover the identification of asbestos, testing and inspection, risk assessment, and asbestos removal (to be carried out by licenced contractors only). The 2012 guidelines specifically refer to non-domestic premises, such as industrial, commercial or public buildings. This includes factories, warehouses, offices, shops, hospitals and schools.
p until the year 2000, asbestos was used extensively in the construction industry as a means of fireproofing and insulation for buildings. While its use has been completely banned since 1999*, it is still commonly found in older buildings, and it can be exposed during repair, maintenance, or demolition work.
Electrical Equipment Labels
These hazard warning labels are supplied in packs of 100 labels.

Manual Handling Labels & Signs
We sell a variety of manual handling labels and signs for:
Highlight heavy loads
Specify safe lifting procedures
Recommend the use of handling aids (e.g. forklifts)
Identify the 'heavy end' of a load
Specify item weight
Our lifting safety signs will help you to comply with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (and the amendments in 2002), which refer to the lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling, or supporting of heavy loads. The regulations recommend a three-part approach: automating the process wherever practically possible (by the use of cranes, conveyors, hoists, pallet trucks or forklifts); undertaking a risk assessment* where manual lifting is unavoidable; and, finally, reducing the potential risk by introducing mechanical aids, such as sack trolleys, wheeled trolleys etc.
*Your risk assessment should cover the type of task (ie. bending, stooping, twisting), the individual (their strength, et cetera), the type of load (bulky, difficult to grasp, hot, cold, sharp), and the environment (uneven floors, poor lighting, poor ventilation, slippery surfaces).
Following lifting safety guidelines if you want to avoid musculoskeletal disorders and other injuries. Failing to observe the relevant regulations can also result in heavy loads being dropped, leading to damaged goods and severe injuries.
Engineering Labels
All of our labels available from our engineering range are made from self- adhesive polyester, with laminated surfaces, making them extra durable and rub test compliant. They have an operating temperature of -30°C to +120° and are dimensionally stable, have a high tensile strength, and furthermore, are waterproof, weather-proof, abrasion and chemical resistant.
Our engineering labels are available in two sizes 15mm x 15mm and 25mm x 25mm, making these labels ideal for labelling you machinery, equipment and industrial products.
