25L-100L Flexible Heating Jackets
The Standard Range
Ideal for gently heating and maintaining temperatures up to approximately 40-45°C.
Polyurethane coated black nylon is used on both sides of the jacket (inner and outer) to ensure maximum wear resistance.
Needled felt polyester insulation provides perfect insulation.
The HiHeat Range
Provides a boost in power for applications needing a faster heat-rate up to approximately 60-70°C.
Black nylon fabric for the outer layer.
High-temperature silicone-coated glass-cloth inner layer.
Increased insulation is provided by stitchbonded glassfibre mat.
The High Power Range
Maximum power and maximum insulation.
Special formulated high-temperature, chemically resistant silicon-coated glass-cloth used on both sides of the jacket to extend product life in demanding applications.

200L Flexible Heating Jackets
We offer three main design types of Flexible Heating Jacket for standard 200/210L drums in safe non-hazardous environments: Standard, HiHeat and High Power.

IBC Flexible Heating Jackets
Tried and tested the World over, our Flexible Heating Jackets simply wrap around the tank, clip together and the thermostat can be set to the desired temperature.

Gas Bottle Flexible Heating Jackets
We can design jackets for most cylinder sizes, with our standard “HHG” being a popular size normally available for immediate delivery.

LMK Thermosafe Ltd manufacture a wide range of drum and container heating products used in process industries world-wide, including Flexible Heating Jackets in a variety of sizes, materials, power levels and voltages.
The Flexible Heating Jackets are so versatile that they can be specifically tailored to fit a multitude of different containers suitable for virtually any size and specifications. This tailored service offers ideal solutions for customers requiring non-standard containers to be heated as rapidly as possible and efficiently insulated.

THERMOSAFE® Type A Induction Heater
The coil is connected to a single phase AC mains supply and generates heat direct and uniformly in the drum wall. Energy transfer is by alternating magnetic field and thus there is no heat transfer by the conventional and inefficient means of radiation or convection. As there are no hot elements, the heater remains substantially cooler than the drum being heated.

THERMOSAFE® Type B Induction Heater
Lighter and easier to handle, ideal where height is restricted
Two heaters can be stacked to heat full height of drum
110/120v operation
To complement the longstanding and successful 240v THERMOSAFE® Type A, our 110/120v Type B model is available, ideal where height is restricted, or for heating smaller containers. Two Type B heaters can also be stacked and operated at 110v or 240v.
A single Type B heater can heat the lower section of a 205L steel drum to around 110°C. Two heaters can be stacked to enable the full height of the drum to reach approximately these temperatures.
Just like the THERMOSAFE® Type A, the Type B is suitable for use in hazardous areas, certified to ATEX, IECEx, UL and CSA standards (zones 1, 2, 21 & 22).

FARATHERM Induction Base Heater
Uses the same technology as the proven Thermosafe Induction Heater
Suitable for use in Zone 1 & 2 rated hazardous areas (ATEX and IECEx Certified)
The Faratherm Induction Base Heater consists of an induction coil, encapsulated in glass reinforced resin with a heating plate located on top. It has been developed using the same technology as the Thermosafe Induction Heater − a very reliable and efficient product in use worldwide for over 20 years. Powered by a single phase ac mains supply, it will heat the base of drums and containers placed onto it.

25-100L INTELIHEAT Flexiplus Heating Jackets
Ideal for gentle warming and to avoid winter freezing.
LMK’s Thermosafe are pleased to announce their hazardous area heating jackets for 25, 50 and 100 Litre containers. These ATEX / IECEx Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 (T4 and T3) rated heating jackets are ideal for gentle warming or to avoid winter freezing.
They are constructed with a silicone coated glass cloth outer and high density fibreglass insulation. Safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases and dusts. No transformers are required as they operate using a standard 240v ac supply.
The jackets are suppled either as self-limiting designs (20-50°C above the ambient temperature when operated at 240v) which will maintain a temperature on the drum wall, with adjustable jacket-mounted temperature regulators (range dependent on zone temperature classification), or with digital jacket and wall-mounted controllers.

200L INTELIHEAT Flexiplus Heating Jackets
Ideal for gentle warming and to avoid winter freezing.
LMK Thermosafe are pleased to present their hazardous area range of heating jackets for 200L drums. These ATEX and IECEx Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 rated jackets use a completely new and proprietary design.
They are constructed with custom elastomer and silicone coated glass cloth materials and high density fibreglass insulation. Safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases and dusts. No transformers are required as they operate using standard ac supply voltages.
InteliHeat Flexiplus jackets are ideal for gentle warming and to avoid winter freezing. For faster heating rates and melting solids at higher temperatures, the Thermosafe Induction Heater is normally recommended, but we can also offer more powerful custom jacketed solutions with digital jacket and wall-mounted controllers.
The InteliHeat Flexiplus range is designed for use with plastic, stainless steel or magnetic steel drums. An LMK Insulated lid may be used in certain situations to reduce heat loss and improve heating times. Certified jackets to fit other sizes, shapes and styles of container are also available. IBC INTELIHEAT Flexiplus Heating Jackets
LMK Thermosafe are pleased to present their hazardous area heating jackets for IBC’s. These ATEX and IECEx Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 (temperature classifications T4 and T3) rated jackets use a completely new and proprietary design.
These are constructed with a custom elastomer with silicone coated glass cloth materials and high density fibreglass insulation. Safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases and dusts.
Heating rates and top achievable temperatures vary depending on the model, but where required IBCs can be heated up to their maximum design temperatures (typically 60-85°C depending on the type of IBC) . No transformers are required as the jackets operate using standard ac supply voltages. The jackets are suppled either as self-limiting designs which will maintain a temperature on the IBC wall (20-35°C above the ambient temperature when operated at 240v), with adjustable temperature regulators (range dependent on zone temperature classification), or with digital jacket and wall-mounted controllers.
Designed primarily for use with plastic liner, metal framed IBCs, some models may also be used to heat 4x205L (45G) drums. An LMK Insulated lid would normally be used to reduce heat loss and improve heating times. Certified jackets to fit other sizes, shapes and styles of container are also available. Gas Cylinder INTELIHEAT Flexiplus Heating Jackets
Ideal for gentle warming and maintaining flow.
LMK Thermosafe are pleased to announce their hazardous area heating jackets for gas bottles. These ATEX / IECEx Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 (T4 and T3 temperature classifications) rated heating jackets are ideal for gentle warming, anti-frosting and calibration gas applications.
They are constructed with a silicone coated glass cloth outer and high density fibreglass insulation. Safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases and dusts. No transformers are required as they operate using a standard 240v ac supply.
The InteliHeat Flexiplus Gas Bottle Heating Jackets are designed to fit around the common type K and L gas bottles (∅230mm) and other bottles of a similar size. Other sizes of heating jacket for smaller / larger cylinders are also available.
There are three ‘standard’ options available, one of which is self-limiting, and two of which comes with temperature regulators which sit on the side of the jacket. Model IHF/G/T4 will limit at around 30°C above the ambient temperature on the gas bottle wall when operated at 240v (i.e. with a 20°C ambient temperature, the gas bottle wall temperature will be around 50°C under normal utilisation / draw-off conditions). Models IHF-R/G/T4 and IHF-R/G/T3 come with temperature regulators which can be adjusted inside the (gas) zone.

Custom Size INTELIHEAT Flexiplus Heating Jackets

Custom sizes to fit most containers and vessels.
LMK Thermosafe are fully certified and approved to design and manufacture hazardous area heating jackets to fit non-standard container sizes. These ATEX / IECEx Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 rated heating jackets can be designed to specifically fit containers that don’t fall within our standard range of heating jackets.
They are constructed with a silicone coated glass cloth outer and high density fibreglass insulation. Safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases and dusts. No transformers are required as they operate using a standard single-phase 50/60Hz supply, and can be designed for voltages of 110-240v. Different zone temperature classifications are available.
In most circumstances custom heating jackets are supplied with either a jacket, wall or roving stand-mounted ATEX / IECEx certified digital temperature controller. There are a number of digital controllers available for different operating requirements, but they all allow the user to set and clearly display the operating temperature of the heating jacket. The units can also include additional alarms, outputs, and control features.

DIGIHEAT Base Heater
May be used on its own, or with other LMK Heating products.
Digital indicating thermostat standard.
The Digiheat Base Heater is suitable for heating steel or plastic drums up to 210 litres, including smaller containers. Top plate temperatures can be set and clearly displayed on the integral microprocessor temperature controller.
The Digiheat may be used by itself to provide heat to the base of a drum, or alternatively it can be used in conjunction with our other products such as flexible heating jackets to reduce heating times.
When using our THERMOSAFE® Induction Heater in a normal industrial area to melt a wax with poor thermal properties, the addition of a Digiheat significantly reduces the time required. A reduction of 45% in the time taken for all the contents of a drum to reach 80°C and be completely melted has been demonstrated.

Insulating Top-Hats
Can be used with Thermosafe and Faratherm, even in hazardous areas.
A useful addition to LMK’s range of hazardous area products is the THERMOSAFE® Rigid Top Hat Accessory. Designed to minimise heat loss and increase the efficiency of the heater. The addition of a THERMOSAFE® Top Hat has been shown to reduce the time required to heat containers.
The Thermosafe® Top Hat is manufactured from a glass reinforced resin with handles fitted on either side to allow easy fitting and removal. The Thermosafe® Top Hat can be used with the Thermosafe® types A/B and the Faratherm. The Top Hat may be placed directly over the Faratherm when heating smaller drums.
Typically drum wall temperatures are increased by up to 40C with the addition of a Top Hat. This may affect the hazardous area rating of the heating equipment.

200L Insulation Jackets
For applications where power is not required, try our 200L Insulation Jackets.
These units are manufactured with our high-density inert fibreglass insulation and can be used to keep drums warm or cool, by slowing down temperature changes / responses to the local ambient temperature. Ideal for projects that need to keep one drum warm while a second is being heated with one of our Flexible Heating Jackets or Induction Heaters.
The Insulation Jackets (product code: IJ2D) can also be used around a drum whilst being heated with a Base Heater. This minimises heat-loss to improve efficiency and potential heating rates.

GrafHEAT Base Heaters
May be used on their own, or with other LMK Heating products.
Self-limiting and digital control options.
GrafHEAT base heaters form part of our new and advanced range of industrial process heating solutions which use our patented and national award-winning GrafHEAT heating technology. Standard options available ex-stock for everything from 1L pots to 1250L IBCs, with a wide capability for customised solutions specific to individual applications.
Safe to run 24/7, GrafHEAT devices are offered in either self-limiting formats (where power density can be customised during manufacture) or with additional digital control packages, with options in both 100-120v and 220-240v.
This unique product has been developed by incorporating carefully tuned and optimised Graphene within a patented polymer composite. Our unique heating technology uses positive temperature coefficient (PTC) effect to control both the power and temperature of the heating devices. The applied solutions are extremely safe and economical to use for small and large industrial applications.

IBC Insulation Jackets
These units are manufactured from a polyurethane coated nylon with a highly efficient layer of thermal insulation contained within. Velcro is used to secure the side jacket, allowing quick and easy installation.
The Insulated Lid features a central access flap for the top opening / filler cap.

BF400 Power Controller
Burst firing controller enabling adjustment of heater output (0-100%). Selecting 50% will ensure the heater is on for 50% of the time (eg. on for 30 seconds and off for 30 seconds), therefore reducing the maximum drum temperature. Near zero-crossing switching minimises supply disturbance. Integrated 25A mcb for circuit protection.
Whilst the BF400 must be situated in a safe area, (usually in the area/room where fuses and switchgear are located) the THERMOSAFE and FARATHERM heaters can still be operated in the hazardous zone. The standard supply cable length is 5m, but a longer cable can be fitted on request if the safe area is further away.

ProxATEX ATEX/IECEx/UKCAEx Certified Temperature Controller
Two NFC cards will be provided pre-programmed to the users settings. Additional cards can be supplied with alternative settings, and optionally, a dedicated smart phone or tablet with our embedded interface can be purchased to permit customer programming on site. The simple 3 − button interface on the front of the device can be used to adjust set point and other parameters whilst the device is operational WITHIN THE HAZARDOUS AREA, plus for additional security these push buttons can be disabled or limited. Dependent on the heater size and configuration, the ProxATEX can be preinstalled directly onto the heater, mounted onto a wall, or alternatively a pre-wired single pillar roaming controller stand can be supplied for multi-location applications.

Thermosafe Lifting Frame
The sturdy steel frame is fitted with a braked winch easily capable of lifting either one Thermosafe Type A or up to two Type B heaters. Robust and lockable casters are fitted to the frame, and simple retaining bars and clips are used to secure and quickly release the Thermosafe.
The Lifting Frame is suitable for use in hazardous areas, certified to the requirements of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC for non-electrical equipment and Machinery directive 98/37/EC. The Lifting Frame can be supplied in two base widths; a wider width to incorporate drums on pallets, or a standard unit for applications where this is not necessary.

Rental Service

Lifting Attachment for Fork Lift Trucks
The robust steel frame is connected to the heater using simple retaining bars and clips. An anti-slip covering is applied in the area in contact with the forks.
Other Options
The three pre-drilled holes in the top flange can be fitted with eyebolts to accommodate your own lifting and fixing solutions.
