Constructed by modular techniques `M` Range furnaces have an inner case `heat box` surrounded by an air gap with case ventilation fan. This double skin construction ensures that the furnace casing remains relatively cool even when working at high temperatures.
A range of well proven highly efficient muffle type furnaces incorporating features which combine the expertise of generations of furnace construction and design, together with the latest high technology, components, and techniques.
Large Capacity Furnaces to 1200ºC

Large Capacity Furnaces to 1200ºC

The exterior is constructed from a heavy gauge steel angle framework with sheet panels finished in hammer blue paintwork.
The furnace lining consists of high efficiency graded low thermal mass insulation and refractory materials. Refractory brickwork provides a hardened surface to the chamber entrance and solid support for the hard wearing removable tiles that form the furnace hearth. Double wall case construction together with ventilation fan ensures that the furnace casing and door remain relatively cool.
The door affords obstruction free access to the work chamber. A selection of different door types are available (vertically lifting type illustrated).
Tube Furnaces to 1200ºC

Tube Furnaces to 1200ºC

The insulations used are of the highest quality and are of the latest types available, graded for optimum efficiency to reduce heat losses and enhance a uniform working zone.
ST12 furnaces are constructed with a robust mild steel casing attractively finished in hammer blue paintwork, for bench mounting, and designed with vented double skin construction ensuring that the furnace casing remains relatively cool.
A type N thermocouple probes the furnace tube for accurate measurement and control.
Heating: A hard wearing sillimanite tube forms the furnace chamber with high quality spiraled wire heating elements carefully positioned and fixed in place to produce a uniform hot zone. Power switching to the elements is by means of solid state relays for accuracy and reliability.
Crucible Furnaces to 1200ºC

Crucible Furnaces to 1200ºC

This furnace is designed for use by the small foundry operator for metal or glass applications. It is a low cost simple unit, the smallest version being designed to work from a standard UK electrical socket.
The furnace casing is steel attractively finished in blue hammer finish paint, with the lid finished in black. Low thermal mass insulations are used for efficiency and together with double skin construction ensures that the furnace casing remains relatively cool.
The lift-off lid affords obstruction free access to the work chamber. As an option, a lever operated side moving lid can be fitted that keeps the hot face away from the operator at all times. The furnace can be floor or bench mounted and is fitted with an earth leakage circuit breaker for operator safety.
A type N thermocouple is fitted for long life and accurate temperature sensing, and thermocouple break protection is fitted as standard.
Bench Top Chamber Furnaces 1400ºC. − 1600ºC

Bench Top Chamber Furnaces 1400ºC. − 1600ºC

The “High temperature furnaces” are divided into three classes, i.e. HT up to 1400°C maximum, VH up to 1500°C maximum, and CL models up to 1600°C. Larger versions can be made to order.
A coated welded steel chassis and outer panels contains the furnace lining which consists of high efficiency graded low thermal insulation material. A thin wall of refractory provides a hardened surface to the chamber sidewalls, and a hard wearing removable tile forms the furnace hearth. Ducts with thermostatically controlled cooling fans between the outer panels and the furnace body ensures that the furnace casing remains relatively cool.
The vertically lifting full width door affords obstruction free access to the work chamber and keeps the hot face away from the operator at all times. The door is counterbalanced and a polished stainless steel shelf is fitted below.
