Mushroom Lighting was originally a product of the early 70's, with the chief lighting designer heavily involved with Prog Rock, and amateur theatre, progressing rapidly into large concerts such as Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, Cropready, and the infamous Nags Head with John Peel, lighting many many bands. Over the years the passion for lighting hasn't diminished, but has moved into corporate one offs working with the likes of Debenhams, Coca Cola, Dior, Unilever, Coutts etc offering not only lighting but AV and sound, and where requested high end rigging, trussing and motors.

All these skills were ustilised on the world s largest hanging time piece (Timeless) which hung over a 40m void in the atrium of Senator House in the City of London. The project won Sign of the Year for main contractor Sign Of The Times, and Client Acrylicize.

Event work ranges from private parties to lighting St Paul's Cathedral for Cancer Reasearch Christmas Carol Concert, Amnesty House, and even supplying snow for 3 months in the heart of Knightsbridge!! Mushroom Specialise in temporary architectural work, and have been fortunate enough to work not only on fantastic projects for far sighted clients but also wonderful retail displays for some of the best designers in the country

Mushroom Lighting staff have been involved with "Theatre" since the Fifties, bringing a huge broad swathe of experience to any project large or small. We can custom fit staging, curtain track and drapes, all made to measure in the UK (So no long lead in times ). This helps when the production deadline time has to be met, especially for a small show which is only running for a short time.

We have supplied Amateur Dramatic groups, village halls, concert halls, and large corporate clients with an endless diversity of equipment, from lecturns to Velvet swagged drapes. Giant truss structures flown on 18 motors in Romania, to a podium in a canteen. We will come up with the solution to suit your budget or desire.

Design

Regular cleaning and dusting of projector lenses, speaker grills, monitors, amplifiers, as well as removing dust from filters, oil build-ups will enhance the lifetime of expensive equipment, particularly in the retail environment. We offer a full technology product cleaning service, including destaticising screens at a time to suit you and your clients to ensure your equipment is always sparkling and performing at its maximum.

An area often not taken into consideration is the necessity for statutory and manufacturers inspections. We can assist with motors, AV, sound and lighting equipment to ensure that your equipment is inspected within statutory requirements, and keep warrenties running to their maximum life

Refurbishment of techical equipment can be an economical way of extending a products life and reducing capital expenditure. Call us for advice so we can offer the most cost effective solution

Ineveitably there will be occasions when equipment ceases functioning despite regular maintenece and extended warranty, if we can't repair on site or in our work shops then we will advise you on the most cost effective way to upgrade

Our stock of projection and screens is varied, and includes the latest in LED ultra-short throw projection by Casio, as well as the amazing moving head AV and effects project from Robe the MiniMe. Mushroom also hold slim bezel LCD and LED screens and stands suitable for one off use or in multiple combinations

Our sound systems are suitable for small conferences , product launches, and fashion shows. We have extensive experience and can offer bespoke systems to suit the project, using either our in-house equipment or one of our associate specialsit sound companies expertise in all things sonic and vocal.
