Benches
Our range of traditional and contemporary benches are made to the highest specifications for long lasting, low maintenance exterior use in parks, schools, playgrounds, streets and shopping centres to name but a few applications.
As standard all of our benches are available in widths of approximately 1500mm, 1800mm and 2100mm however bespoke sizes can be produced. All of our benches are offered with a variety of fixing styles and kits.
Seats

Tree Benches
Tree benches can provide a relaxing seating area in the shade of overhanging branches. Our tree benches are available in hexagonal or square as standard creating a large number of seats in a relatively small area. Bespoke sizes and shapes can also be produced to suit customer requirements.
All of our tree benches are offered with a variety of fixing styles and kits to suit any application.
Picnic Tables
As standard all of our picnic tables are available in widths of approximately 1500mm, 1800mm and 2100mm however bespoke sizes can be produced.

Avenue Range
As standard our Avenue range is supplied with either Black or Green ( RAL 6005 ) metalwork but can be finished in any standard BS or RAL colour.
Alternatively instead of our standard wood or metal slats we also offer recycled plastic wood effect lumber.
Buddy Range
Beaufort Range
All metalwork is finished with an exterior grade base and top coat to either RAL 9005 (black) or RAL 6005 (green) as standard or to virtually any BS or RAL reference if required. All woodwork is treated with an exterior grade base coat and two top coats achieving a colour similar to RAL 8001
Cerro Range
All metalwork is finished with an exterior grade base and top coat as standard or to virtually any BS or RAL reference if required. All woodwork is treated with an exterior grade base coat and two top coats achieving a colour similar to RAL 8004.
Friendship Range
To enhance the school learning environment, enforce the elimination of loneliness and foster friendship on the playground we have developed a range of brightly coloured playground furniture designed to ensure that children who are upset, have no one to play with or who wish to talk about a concern can find someone to talk to.
The idea behind our friendship range is that lunchtime supervisors, all pupils or designated pupils look after, chat or play with any child sat on a friendship seat or buddy bench.
We suggest that our friendship playground furniture is:
- Sited away from very active areas of the playground
- Finished in stand out bright colours
- Customised with a meaningful phrase
- Decorated with a standard or unique design
From past experience two seats at right angles to each other encourage talking although it is often a good idea to have some single seats for people who actually want to be alone. You can even have a different friendship range product, colour or design for each key stage or year group.
All of our friendship playground furniture is produced in hard wearing durable materials such as metal, concrete and recycled plastic.

Southampton Range
Our Southampton style seat has been a staple of the UK's high streets, parks and public spaces for over 60 years.
As with most things, products progress and change over the course of time and our Southampton seat is no different and so we have now modernised the look without changing the simplicity of the popular design by changing the concrete legs to buff concrete effect GRP with a durable cast core, with either wood, metal or brown wood effect recycled plastic slats.
Our Southampton seats can also be used as memorial seats with stainless steel or brass plaques added. Alternatively if wood or recycled plastic slats have been chosen we can engrave your choice of words directly into the seat slats themselves.
Woodland Range
All woodwork is treated with an exterior grade base coat and two top coats achieving a colour similar to RAL 8001.
Rainbow Range
Our recycled plastic slats come in a range of colours that can be put together to form a rainbow seat. Great for brightening up school playgrounds, theme parks, supporting charities or LGBT events.
Produced in brightly coloured, hard wearing, durable materials such as metal, concrete and recycled plastic. All of our seats and benches are standard adult street furniture sizes but suitable for all age groups. Our Rainbow Seats and Benches can be personalised with inscriptions and commemorative details.
Our Street Furniture is made to order. Lead time normally 3-4 weeks. Deliveries are to kerb side only and as such please ensure suitable manpower is available to unload and move your Street Furniture.
Most products are free standing however they can be fixed to the floor, but the Southampton Friendship Seat is only available for below ground fixing and as such requires holes to be dug and concreting in place.
Engraved Plaques
Each plaque for use on our street furniture is 50 x 100mm with up to 50 characters and 50 x 150mm with up to 80 characters in our standard san serif font. Serif fonts, additional characters and logos can be added at an additional cost.

Neptune Street Furniture has been producing high-quality street furniture since the 1960s. Our very first product, the Southampton Seat, was developed in partnership with Southampton City Council and remains a popular choice today. In July 2013, Neptune Outdoor Furniture Ltd was acquired by Good Directions Ltd, a long-time manufacturing partner, allowing us to expand our product range and continue offering British-made street furniture under one unified brand.
