MDU-8 24V Mobile Dental Unit

Improving on Perfection - Newcodent is pleased to announce that the MDU 8-24V has been upgraded with new solenoids that make all instruments stop immediately when the foot is removed from the foot control. A Wet and Dry switch has been incorporated on the front panel so you can turn water on and off by the click of a switch.

We have fitted a heat sensor in the compressor box which will switch off the compressor if it should get near to 120°C and start again when the temperature drops below 90°C (taking 10 - 20 minutes). Why have we done this? It was pointed out to us from the Middle East users that the unit could get very hot and in response to our Nepal-based customers, we have fitted a sand filter on the compressor. In addition, a pressure gauge on the front of the unit has been added making it very easy to adjust air and water pressure.

The MDU 7-24V works on mains supply from 110 − 240V and comes complete with its own carrying case with all the instruments and built in controls. The compressor unit is designed to fit in a separate smaller carrying case allowing for greater ease of transport. The large case as shown in the product image is optional and only necessary if you wish to transport both units in one case.

Saliva Suction Unit with Spittoon

This unique saliva twin suction unit has been designed with special features as requested by clients and can be used as a twin saliva suction unit or a single saliva unit with the added funnel as a spittoon.

Disposable Fast Handpiece

The HDS 1 Disposable fast handpiece has an M4 hole Midtwest fitting. Many of our users have asked for disposable handpieces and we are pleased to have been able to come back with this fast handpiece fitted with a quick release coupling. No cleaning required with this handpiece.

Our specialist range of dental units the MDU 3 was developed in 2007, incorporating a three way syringe and ample space for 2 dental handpieces or an air scaler. Today this unit is not only sold for domiciliary use but also for use in the military and veterinary industry too, worldwide.

Since 2007, we have continued to develop our mobile dental units to incorporate new functions, such as curing light and x-ray viewers etc. The MDU 4 and MDU 5 were formed.

The MDU 4 dental unit includes a curing light which is incorporated into the portable unit. Many of our users liked the light easy weight of the dental unit, which weighed in at 8kg making it extremely easy to transport and allowing the user to set it up and ready to use in 5 minutes.

The latest mobile dental unit is the MDU 5, this dental unit features technologically advanced x-ray viewers with a three-way syringe, disposable tip, air scaler, fast handpiece and a straight handpeice or a slow contra-angled handpiece and LED curing light which is all operated by foot control. It is also available in an optional cordless foot control if required.

The MDU 5 also comes with a standalone saliva suction unit and a portable battery operated mirror light with 2 rechargeable batteries and charger. This has also been redesigned and developed to include a patient’s chair, weighing as little as 14kg, complete with a light stand and instrument tray. The set up time for this unit is slightly longer than the MDU 4 unit taking approximately 15 minutes. A back pack is available for ease of transportation.

The MDU 3, 4 and 5 are all fully CE approved and marked.
