OKW’s wired enclosures are ideal for cable connected applications, whether hand-held, desk-top, wall mounted or freely suspended. The integrated cable glands made of soft TPE material are suitable for round cables from ø 3.4 − 5.9 mm and represent a seamless continuation of the high-quality design of the enclosure. If required, a strain relief device can protect the flexible cables from mechanical stress.
Depending on the type of enclosure, options include holding clamps for hanging the devices on to round tubes, wall suspension elements for permanent or short-term storage, double-sided cable routing on each end of the enclosure and much more.
The range also includes hand-grip style enclosures with an integrated trigger action push button for startup, operation and stand-by mode switching.

OKW operating and display enclosures are ideal for mounting on tripods and suspension arm systems. Several models have integrated handles, which are particularly suitable if the display and control panels have to be realigned frequently. Effortless swivelling, tilting, inclining, turning, pulling etc. − all this is no problem. Alternatively, there are also flat housings for operating panels. The narrow design of these, as well as the finger recesses on the back, ensure that the unit is securely held during positioning.
These enclosures also offer generously dimensioned operating panels for displays and touch screens from 16 cm (6.4 inches) to 34 cm (13.4 inches). The rear interface mounting allows tidy cable routing via the enclosure connection, the system is partly compatible with the VESA standard (100 x 100 mm).

Modern and practical tuning knobs with lateral fixing screw
The OKW range of tuning knobs with lateral screw fixing is designed for rotary potentiometers with round shaft ends in accordance with DIN 41591. Depending on requirements, there are traditional and modern knob designs. Thanks to the large selection of types, you have the opportunity of giving your appliances their own individual "face". Simply select the marking element and determine the function of the tuning knob. Or achieve a high-quality metal effect with an aluminium cap or insert embellisher. For the various applications there are tuning knobs made of thermoplastic or duroplastic for improved thermal properties.

OKW tuning knobs with illumination guide the user to the central user interface and also give impressive emphasis to innovative equipment design. In the flush-fitting version the knob can be illuminated, that is, a ring lights up between the recess and the knob cover. In the surface-mounted version, the knob is mounted on an approx. 3 mm high ring, which can be illuminated. The matching PCB with energy-saving LED lighting is available as a white or RGB backlight for individual lighting results. In this way you can show your own colour.

Contacts, connections
- We offer a range of contacts for cordless energy and data transmission. The gold-plated surfaces are highly conductive and corrosion-resistant, thus guaranteeing secure and reliable connection between the enclosures and station/holder.
- The OKW range already includes a selection enclosures, stations and holders with pre-moulded apertures for fitting these contacts. In this way, the user can charge batteries in the device and then transmit data wirelessly in the field − ideal for mobile communication equipment!

OKW manufactures an extensive range of plastic enclosures for OEM electronics. The company also manufactures aluminium enclosures under its METCASE brand, and is the UK representative for the ROLEC, TEKO and Serpac enclosure lines. OKW’s huge programme of standard enclosures includes many different styles and sizes. Many lines are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The enclosures are manufactured in a selection of materials including ABS, polycarbonate, PMMA and Noryl. These materials offer different flame class ratings from UL 94 HB to UL 94 V-0. IP65 Enclosures
A large selection of OKW plastic enclosures can be specified with sealing gaskets to achieve a protection class of IP65. These enclosures have been tested in accordance with the international standards VDE 0470 PART 1, EN 60529 and IEC 529.
DIN Rail Enclosures
OKW’s modular DIN rail enclosures are designed for electronics control equipment and are available in sizes from 1 to 12 modules wide. The enclosures conform to EN 50022 and EN 50035 standards and can be mounted in series on TS35 and TS32 DIN rails. PCBs can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and open sections on either side provide access to the PCB terminal blocks. Snap-on terminal guards provide protection. Different terminal blocks can be accommodated including pitches of 5.0mm and 5.08mm, and single part terminals and plug headers. The range also includes individual DIN rail enclosures, open DIN rail PCB supports and standard enclosures with DIN rail clips.

The enclosures conform to DIN IEC 61554 for standard control panel apertures and are available in a wide range of standard frame sizes from 72 x 36 mm to 144 x 144 mm. The enclosures are moulded in tough flame resistant UL 94 V-0 rated Noryl which is suitable for many industrial environments. Internal guide rails provide mounting for slide-in PCBs.
