For over 50 years Palmstead Nurseries have been producing quality nursery stock − plants, tress and shrubs to meet the needs of the Landscape and Amenity industry.

Founded in 1968 Palmstead has grown to meet demand and is now situated on a single, highly efficient 53-hectare site in the heart of the Kent countryside.

There were divergent and passionate views expressed by Landscape Architects, ecologists and garden designers on the way forward for sustainable horticultural development with one speaker - Mary Reynolds - predicting that "nature is being pushed to the edge of ecosystem collapse" and that "our gardens have become nature’s last stand".

I have been dealing with Palmstead for some 15 years now. The staff are always available for genuine horticultural advice and are very hands on with all of the plants they stock. There are "sciency" guys to give help with problems and, most importantly honesty and integrity about their stock, they are very upfront about imports and plant health. The stock list is so vast it cannot be beaten on quality and availability. The Website is very easy to use for those long nights in the office. The Cash and Carry will go that "extra mile" to accommodate difficult situations and have proved invaluable in my success within the industry. Palmstead support me in my work and I would not buy anywhere else! BTW the coffee is good too!
