Metal Mesh & Steel Mesh, Woven Wire

Supply metal mesh and steel mesh, woven wire in stainless or mild steel, cut from the roll, usually ex stock. Materials are usually stainless steel SS 304 and 316, but we can also supply copper, brass and more exotic metals, where the woven wire mesh is available. Wire mesh is usually woven in widths of 1.0, 1.22, 1.5 metres wide, approximately equivalent to 3 ft., 4 ft., 5 ft. Wide.
We can supply mesh panels (usually the larger apertures) made to the size you require.

Finer meshes can be cut to size, or supplied by the metre at the width desired.
Scissors will cut fine meshes, tin snips will cut larger meshes.

WARNING : the cut edges can be sharp, take care!

Perforated Sheet & Plate Fabrication

PlastOk supply perforated sheet, usually ex stock. Materials are usually stainless steel SS 304 and 316, but we can also supply copper, brass and more exotic metals, subject to availability. Most can be made to order.
Perforated sheet is usually made in panels 2 x 1 and 1.25 x 2.5 metres.
We can supply perforated sheets specially punched to a specific size, including margins, if needed, or guillotined from stock sheets.
Holes can be circular ( standard ), square, or to artistic patterns, for architectural applications.
( over 6 mm thick, it is referred to as ‘plate’ )

Eyeleted Screens − Metal Mesh

Eyeleted screens can be supplied in synthetic meshes, nylon, polyester, polypropylene, etc., in a full range of apertures.
PlastOk manufacture and supply a complete range of replacement screens with edges taped with PVC, cotton, Nomex®, etc., to suit the individual application.
Woven wire meshes are available in stainless steel SS 304, 316, high tensile steel, Carbon steel etc.. In apertures ranging from millimetres down to 50 microns.

Metal Mesh Screens, CLIP & HOOK

SPECIFICATIONS include;

Mesh Screens in Stainless steel woven wire mesh in SS 304, 316, high tensile and spring steels.

synthetic polymers such as nylon®, polyester and polypropylene.

Mesh screens can be square weave, rectangular, twill or plain weave.

Screens can be fitted with rubber edging, wear strips or panels.

GRILLS, PERFORATED PLATE and other types of media
can be fitted with hooks or clamp plates as required.

Bonded Screens − Metal Mesh

Bonded screens can be supplied in synthetic meshes, nylon, polyester, polypropylene, etc., in a full range of apertures and bonded using adhesive to suit your application
PlastOk manufacture and supply a complete range of replacement screens with edges taped with PVC, cotton, Nomex®, etc., to suit the individual application.
Woven wire meshes are available in stainless steel SS 304, 316, high tensile steel, Carbon steel etc.. In apertures ranging from millimetres down to 50 microns.
Screens can be fitted with wear strips, shrouds, edge skirts or other features specific to your product.

Conidur® Fine Hole Sheet

CONIDUR® Fluid bed sheets is manufactured with the hole pitch and advance adjusted to the exact product and process requirements. Fluid bed sheets are supplied with the sheet orientations arranged to give the correct agitation and circulation.

To ensure correct operation, detailed tests can be carried out on your product. The CONIDUR® sheets can then be manufactured, and mounted on support frames, if required, to fit your fluid bed machine.

Small holes in relatively thick sheets
The conical holes are resistant to clogging, and when ground and polished, the release properties prevent sticking, ideal for flushing, back-washing and self-cleaning filters.

Fabricated Wedge Wire Screens

Wedge-wire screens can be fabricated in a range of both flat panels and tubes. Wedge-wire and support profiles are resistance welded with accurate slot dimensions. The screens can be mechanically and electropolished, and given additional surface hardening treatments.
Further support structures and fastening brackets, can be added. Tubes can have various end piece connections and additional internal strengthening.
Thin wire tubes can be made for the support of other filter media, such as filter cloths.

Circular screening
Up to 3 metres in diameter with mesh correctly and accurately tensioned for best performance.

Baskets

Mesh basket liners for product de-watering by centrifuge, hydroextractors and spinners. 4 mm. down to 25 microns ( 0.025 mm.) Mesh or fabric sleeves to suit a range of filters, seives and wet searators. 4 mm down to 5 microns ( 0.005 mm.)

Fly Screen

PlastOk supply and fit flyscreen window kits. These are avaialable as a comlplete window to suit customer’s existting frame size or application. Materials used include PVC /glass fibre, nylon, polythene, aluminium and stainless steel. Flyscreen windows can be supplied in kit form, which are easy to assemble and fit. This gives you the opportunity to fit and repair flyscreen windows on-site. The flyscreen system is designed for use on windows in food preparation areas, food storage, canteens and other places where food must be protected from flies and insect infestation.
A flyscreen will help protect your food areas from contamination, helping to prevent costly customer complaints and infringements of environmental health and hygiene regulations. The flyscreen SYStem is supplied in two different forms,hinged or sliding.

Filter Bags

Filter bags from PlastOk offer a complete and extensive range of filter bags suitable for use in all types of housings in the market place today. We offer filter bags made up in the following specs. to suit all industrial requirements. Stitched with ring or snap-band fully welded with plastic seal to eliminate bypass through stitch holes.

Turbo Sifter Sleeves

A wide range of turbo sleeves is available to suit all types of machines, the most popular being KEK, AZO GERICKE, POWTEK, RUSSEL TURBO, RUSSEL WET SEPARATOR (fines saver) BUHLER and many others. Meshes can range from 5 microns to 5 mm. in nylon, polyester, polypropylene, PEEK, ETFE, silk and stainless steels.
For the food industry a range of blue nylon is used and for pharmaceuticals, tablet polishing sleeves are made.
Special grater / grinder cylinders are supplied for granulating.
For specials, prototypes and ideas, specimens can be made fron sketches, drawings or samples quite quickly.

Sieves & Dustbags

PlastOk supply sieve meshes in nylon and stainless steel by the piece, or as screens to suit machines such as;
POWTEK, RUSSELL, LOCKER etc..
Special blue food quality nylon meshes are available as required.
A range of dust bags cab be supplied to suit such systems as;
DCE, MIKROPUL, AIRMASTER etc.. in cotton felts and anti-static fabrics.
Also available, PTFE coated fabrics for sticky products.
PlastOk also manufactures filter systems for liquid applications.

Screens

Suitable for machines like ROTEX, NIAGRA, RUSSELL, BOULTON,

SWECO ALGIER, BM&M. Coarse and fine mesh screens from 12 mm. to 10 microns are supplied in polyester and nylon. Polypropylene, silk and PEEK are available in a more limited range.
CLIP & HOOK SCREENS
Usually confined to 1 − 12 mm. meshes with clips / hooks in stainless steel or mild steel.
TAPED SCREENS
Rectangular screens, often with wooded frames, have taped edges to accommodate staples used to retain tension. For circular screens a suitable stretch tape is used which can incorporate a draw string to ensure tension is maintained whilst tightening the outer band clamp. This also makes remeshing considerably easier than flat felt edging.
EYELETED SCREENS
Normally rectangular with brass or stainless steel eyelets fitted on edging tape of cotton/nylon or polyester. Cotton is preferred because it allows some degree of stretch for correct tensioning.

Synthetic & Nylon Mesh by the Roll or Metre

All meshes are precision woven for use in the sieving and screening of a wide range of products. Mesh can be bought by the roll, or cut by the metre. Widths from 1 to 2 metres wide.
