Granulator Machines

What is a Granulator?

A granulator is used for size reduction, this is an essential step in plastic recycling. Granulators break down the waste products such as waste, wood, plastic, rubber, paper & carpets into smaller pieces called ‘regrind’ or flake’.
This maybe the only step before the ‘regrind’ can be reused in manufacturing new products. However the recycling of waste products requires other processes such as sorting and separation, size reduction, washing and pelletizing.

Shredder Machines

Shredder machines are used for reducing the size of all kinds of material. Industrial shredders come in many different design variations and many sizes. The main categories of designs used today are as follows: horizontal hammermills, vertical hammermills, slow speed shear type shredders of single, dual, triple and quad shaft design, single shaft grinders of single or dual shaft design, granulators, knife hogs, raspers, mawlers, flails, crackermills, and refining mills.

Rawmec Ltd has been specialising in new and used machinery for the plastics, printing, and packaging industries since 1974. Our offices are located in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, England, 12 miles north of London. It takes just 45 minutes by car to drive to London Heathrow Airport, one hour to drive to London Gatwick Airport, 30 minutes to drive to Luton Airport, and 25 minutes to drive to Stansted Airport. We are located very close to the M25 (junctions 25 and 26).

In addition to blow moulding machines, Rawmec stocks extruders, granulators, recycling lines, roller cutters, shredders, and vacuum forming machines. Depending on your needs, our warehouse staff can provide full service and reconditioning. In the event that a customer has a special request for machinery (not currently in stock), Rawmec attempts to find it. As a result of our international contacts, we are able to obtain the most competitive prices possible.
