Centerpiece Plants and Trees

When you need to hire statement centerpiece plants and trees to create a focal point at a venue you are looking for something rare and very special, something that really creates an impact.

Specifically for clients requesting large centerpiece plants or trees you can choose to hire any of the following.

Birch Tree

The Birch tree hire range is a very attractive addition to our range of hire trees. An incredibly cost effective hire option for any event that needs to incorporate trees into a theme. We stock jacquemontii Birch (Betula jacquemontii) these trees have white bark for added impact throughout the year.

Wedding Trees

As soon as we saw these stunning Birch trees we knew we had found our range of wedding trees. The first thing that couples who hire them say is usually “they are beautiful” and they are. It took 5 years until by chance we came across a new supplier, one look at this range of trees and we bought the entire stock.

We wanted to introduce a hire range of smaller trees, trees that could fit in to smaller venues, venues with low ceilings and marquees − places where people wanted to get married. With the new branches having a rich red peeling bark that changes into a glorious white lower down the tree these multi-stemmed Birch trees are our solution for beautiful trees to hire for smaller spaces.

Phormium Tenax

Phormium tenax common name New Zealand flax is a great plant to hire when creating a rain forest themed event and is our only hire plant with very long sword like evergreen fibrous leaves. The hire stock consists of plants with variegated leaves and some Phormium Platt’s Black (purplish brown leaves), Phormium tenax (green leaves) & Phormium Merlot (almost burgundy coloured leaves).

Fatsia japonica a Large Leafed Hire Plant

Hiring Fatsia japonica is an excellent choice when your theme needs to hire jungle plants − where a very distinctive evergreen leafy look will play a major factor. Fatsias combine with other jungle plants as an excellent filler plant.

Ferns

Ferns create a wonderful effect across a wide range of planting styles and habitats from English gardens to woodlands to rain forests and jungle style planting schemes. The leaf AKA frond is the main point of interest, ranging from long arching leaves through to a mass of swirling interwoven fronds.

Wedding Arches and Arch Walkways

Arches covered with evergreen Ivy. You can hire as a stand alone wedding arch or by joining a number of arches to form an Ivy arch walkway. Ticking all the boxes, use them to enhance a boring entrance or creating a focal point, for framing your wedding photographs… the list is endless

Hanging Baskets & Trailing Ivy

All the hanging basket range for hire are bespoke made to client specific sizes, colours and appearance. We also maintain trailing Ivies in baskets for immediate hire, when clients have tight deadlines to meet.

Hire Bamboo

When you need to hire bamboo plants the Real Oasis range available to hire, is simply stunning − probably the finest collection available in the UK. Bamboo is a very versatile evergreen plant and can be hired to create many themed events, jungle and rain forests to name a few. All of our species of bamboos have been awarded the RHS AGM.

Hire Large Bamboos to Create Jungles, Rain forests or just as Beautiful plants

Hiring large bamboo plants is a fantastic choice of plant to help create themes, hide unsightly objects or dress a space. The large bamboos are very dense plants with a mass of thousands of leaves and large number of canes per plant. The main bamboos that we have available for rent is mainly Phyllostachys Aurea & Phyllostachys Bissetii both of which have green canes a deep green leaves and provide a very refreshing look and feel.

Tropical Plant Hire

Themes that require tropical plant hire these medium sized bamboos are ideal plants. They work as standalone plants or throw them into the mix with other topical plants. The medium bamboos can be used for any type of setting and are also large enough to create screens/divides just as successfully as the larger bamboos.
A wide variety of bamboos are available in this series including: Phyllostachys Bissetii (common name Bisset’s Bamboo) green canes, Phyllostachys Spectabilis (common name Spectabilis) Yellow with green striped canes, Phyllostachys Aurea (common name golden bamboo) light green culms which gradually turn yellow, a small selection of Phyllostachys nigra (common name Black bamboo) black canes and finally Phyllostachys aureosulcata ‘Aureocaulis (common name Golden Crookstem) golden canes.

Hire Small Bamboo Plants for Internal Spaces

In 2010 we are introduced the Fargesias species (Jumbos & Simbas) of bamboo which are the taller of the Fargesias bamboos but only grow to approximately 2M in height. Fargesias have slightly smaller leaves to the other similar looking bamboos in the Phyllostachys variety used in our range of medium bamboos and large bamboos. The Fargesias will replace all the existing Phyllostachys in the small bamboo hire range.

Bamboo Screens

Hire a bamboo screen to create a wall is a simple way of using bamboo plants to screen off unsightly areas or when you want to obscure a view. Using densely placed Bamboo is equally useful to create walkways, through which to guide visitors. Suitable to use indoors or outdoors in large spaces. Available in lengths of 1M in galvanised steel troughs enabling you to create a screen.

Bamboo screens can be used to form a Mechitza, (although it should be noted that when using bamboo to create a mechitzot, the mechitzot will not fully opaque unless enough plants are used to form a very dense divide). Other bamboo plants in the hire range include small bamboos, medium bamboos, large bamboos & Arrow Bamboos.

Olive Trees

Hire Olive trees and plants to provide a very stylish impact for any event and make an ideal wishing tree. The Olives irresistible features include silvery green leafy canopies, shaped trunks, all make for stunning choice of trees to hire.

Palm Trees

When your event needs to hire palm trees you can choose from a variety of internal and external palms. Whether you are hiring large specimen palm trees or hiring multiple palms for large-scale events or themes, we like to think that we can supply something special for every event.

Palm tree hire − Cordyline australis

These palm trees are ideal palm to hire for dressing large spaces. The palms have tall trunks approx 2M high topped with large leafy evergreen heads, ideal when clients need to hire a palm tree that does not obscure peoples views at events. These palms also have an excellent height to weight ratio when you need hire large palms tree for venues with difficult access.

Kentia Palm

The Kentia Palm is a beautiful option when you want to hire indoor palms. Like all the palm trees the Kentia Palm is available for rental or lease or short term hire. Long very dark flowing evergreen leaves which point upwards the leaf formation resembles an open hand.

The Kentia Palm is one of the few palms that does not mind being on long-term rental in darker spaces, although like all plants they would prefer a reasonably well lit environment. Recommended as a hire plant for venues with difficult access, lots of steps, long distances, smaller spaces…

Chinese Windmill Palm

If you would like to hire large palm trees the Chinese Windmill Palm AKA Trachycarpus fortunei or Chusan palm is ideal. A large hardy palm to hire for any event that requires large greenery. The leaves on the larger palm trees are high enough to form canopies for people to walk under, to achieve this effect palms of 2.5M or taller are needed.

The Chinese Windmill Palm has a trunk covered with coarse fibres giving the trunks a hairy look and has long evergreen (Palmate) fan shaped leaves. The fibres from the leafstalks and trunks had a number of uses the primary uses were to make ropes and cloth. Chinese Windmill Palm attains it’s maximum canopy wide of approximately 2-2.5M by the time it has reached approximately 2.25M tall and from this point they will grow taller but do not grow much wider.

Canary Island Palm

Canary Island Date Palm AKA Phoenix canariensis were introduced for hire in 2008 and fantastic looking plants they are too. Seen throughout the Mediterranean, USA and more recently in the UK, although these will be very tall mature plants with long stems. As a young palm tree they are possibly the best looking palm from a simplistic architectural point of view, due to their very long evergreen arching leaves.

Our stock ranges from small to very large palms at over 3M high and nearly as wide, great impact and stunning plants. The Canary Island Date Palms represent a very cost effective plant when hiring palm trees on a budget. Lightweight, so thoroughly recommended for venues with difficult access, lots of steps or long distances from the unloading bay.
Other palm trees available to hire − the largest of the palms the Chinese Windmill Palm Trees or the rarest the Jelly Palm Trees, smallest Dwarf Fan Palm Trees or the Victorian favourite the Kentia Palm Trees.

LED Lighting

Hiring lighting to enhance the effect of the plants hired for an event provides added impact and is a must for any night time events. Whenever possible we advise clients to ask the AV company to provide any lighting requirements, however, this is not always possible. Choose from high-powered LED lights and LED fairy lights.

Topiary Balls

Box Ball Description: − Buxus sempervirens − topiary box balls are an evergreen shrub with small almost round glossy, dark green leathery leaves. Clipped box ball are a favourite for all occasions.

Hire Topiary Spirals

Adding a stylish look to any event when you hire topiary spirals (Cupressocyparis Leylandii) a hardy evergreen tree shaped into a spiral. A very popular topiary plant to hire.

Hire Furniture, Chairs & Settees

We decided to add furniture hire to our ever growing list of event props after a few events in 2017 where we thought the furniture that was hired was really substandard and left the events looking badly planned − the events weren’t badly planned but the furniture hired killed the look of these events. In one case the Chesterfields were so damaged and the leather was in such a state of disrepair that most people would have thrown the settees away.

Christmas Tree Hire − Cut Fir Trees

Real Oasis are helping to support the UK Christmas tree growing industry, we only hire out UK grown Fir trees.

Live and cut Christmas Fir trees are available to hire throughout the year. Choose from 1M Fir trees up to 4M trees. A decoration service is available and we will also advise on how to use various effects to create naturalistic topical scenes.
